A really long snow bar to cram in front of taffy in the year, a live private table in kitchen, a snow aquarium, picnic tables, musicians ... In short, it's damn nice trip to Quebec that you can not miss!

With a rustic sugar shack decor, friendly staff, & a menu that's very maple & bacon friendly, I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The Pétoncles des Îles-de-la-Madeleine was absolutely superb & a great way to start my meal. I went with the grilled cheese which was fantastic but very filling. I think I'll have to come back for the Tartare de Cerf next!

Very fine interpretation of traditional French-Canadian foods. The scallop & pork belly appetizer is a real winner! Typical of how people who ate scallops & other seafood as everyday meals made great combinations like this one to add variety. Servers are a real asset as well, happy to make suggestions - which is why I tried the scallop appetizer. One of the best dishes I've had!

My husband & I had breakfast at La Buche 4 mornings in a row while we were staying at an inn nearby. All were perfection! Eggs, meats, veggies, breads, jam- all delicious! A high light for the sweet tooth is the caramel crepes with lovely fresh fruit. Service was effective & the staff was very pleasant. Fun local decor. Highly recommend & will go back again!
