Nice food & great service. It does get quite crowded on weekend nights,we waited about 30 minutes before getting a table. Even during the rush, the staff were very attentive & friendly. The washroom was surprisingly cute too, something I've never come across before! Overall, a lovely experience.

La Buche was recommended by a local as the best French food in the neighborhood without a crazy high price point. Such a good choice. We loved everything we were served & the service was great. We had the pork loin & tourtière. The picture of the pork does not do it justice. It was delicious & very tender. It's served with potatoes, prepared sort of like a hash brown, & a carrot puree. Both were great pairs to the pork. The tourtiere was also filled with tender meats & topped with a super flaky pastry. It's served with a fruit ketchup which was new to me. It has a pickled flavor & was an unexpected complement. House salad & poor man's pudding were also great - get it with a scoop of ice cream. To be safe, make a reservation. We were lucky to arrive early (4:45ish) & get a table without one. It was packed when we left.

This is a pretty hokey tourist trap. Some of the worse poutine I've had: insanely salty gravy that tasted like it was from a box, soggy fries, & cold curds. It's also incredibly expensive & loud inside. Feels like a bad Disney park restaurant, not a legit establishment.
