Review Summary

La Buche offers a vibrant and authentic dining experience that captures the heart of traditional Quebecois cuisine. Guests frequently praise the warm, festive atmosphere and the eclectic decor, which includes a notably unique washroom design. While the menu features hearty, comfort-focused dishes such as poutine, tourtière, and various maple-inspired desserts, the attentive and friendly staff consistently enhance the visit. Although the popularity of the restaurant can lead to bustling crowds and the need for reservations, many visitors find the overall quality of the food and the lively cultural immersion well worth the experience.

Great place to enjoy typical Quebec food in a nicely decorated atmosphere. We had the Shepard pie, the sugar pie & the local Caribou drink. Service was very good & fast.

My husband & I ordered two bowls of pea-soup & two salads with smoked trout. One of the salads had a long black hair in it. The salads were served without bread; & they forgot to bring us our wine. The restrooms were very dirty. All-in-all, it was expensive & not a very good experience.

Super ambiance ! Super service !

Got the crepes & the big plate. The crepes were good, however they were drowned in maple syrup & they were cheap with the amount of blueberries. The big plate was delicious. We also got an americano & cappuccino & both were 6$ which I think is extremely steep.

When I first arrived to Quebec, this was one of the first restaurants I went to now that my trip is over. I have to say this was probably the best place I have been to in Quebec.

Hands-down, the food was definitely out of this world, & I just love the corky Ness
& the vibe inside this restaurant

Highly recommended.. also the bathrooms are really neat too. You can wash your hand underneath the bathtub. It's out of this world definitely my kind of style.
