La Buche offers a vibrant and authentic dining experience that captures the heart of traditional Quebecois cuisine. Guests frequently praise the warm, festive atmosphere and the eclectic decor, which includes a notably unique washroom design. While the menu features hearty, comfort-focused dishes such as poutine, tourtière, and various maple-inspired desserts, the attentive and friendly staff consistently enhance the visit. Although the popularity of the restaurant can lead to bustling crowds and the need for reservations, many visitors find the overall quality of the food and the lively cultural immersion well worth the experience.
comida y ambiente Quebequense, imprescindible , el bano es bastante conocido por sus peculiaridad, al lado del local venden productos del restaurante ,nosotros compramos la crema de caramelo, buenísima en las creps.
Quebec! Where else in the world, when you come to breakfast at 10 am, can you hear the ENTIRE restaurant singing along to Joe Dassin's "& si tu n'existais pas"?! All visitors are absolutely sober - they sit in this cozy place, cheerfully eating pancakes & waffles. Despite there was clearly enough free spots, we were told that we had to sit at the bar, because we had no reservation. This is kind of strange, but we loved the place overall. The "creative" bathroom looks like a creepy night club with a bathtub in the middle, & thousands of graffiti all over the place, so one can hardly find a door knob (I saw a guest who was struggling with that). The crepes with trout, goat cheese & asparagus were good, & the staff is friendly & attentive.
Welcoming & friendly, we were greeted quickly & taken to a nice patio table. I had the scallops with pork belly with maple bacon sauce. I nearly cried it was so good. A lot of food for an appetizer. My sweetie had 1/2 order of ribs. Generous portions. Everything perfectly cooked. For dessert we shared pouding du chômeur with vanilla icecream. Delicious. Fabulous service start to finish.

Repas pris en début de semaine, dans l'ensemble nous avons très bien mangé le midi. La tourtière nous a un peu moins convaincu, mais elle restait acceptable. Le service était au top. Super resto
This place is a gem! I had the fried chicken & waffles with maple syrup, & it was so damn good I had to remember to take breaks to breathe between bites! My wife had the smoked trout crêpes, which didn't disappoint. In fact, our experience was so fantastic here, we started planning our next trip before we finished our meal!
Delicious food, great service, & reasonable prices. Brilliant place for brunch! They have quite a lot of dining space but it's a bustling place on the weekends - would recommend getting a reservation.
This restaurant is the québécois experience. They have an amazing menu & the food is copious & delicious. Salty & sweet options are both tasty & flavorful. We had the crêpes & an omelette to share & it was just enough. Unfortunately our waiter messed up & gave us the wrong dish, yet the new dish was still good. I hope we can come back soon.
Ok - I don't get it. This is Quebec City's biggest mystery. Multiple people from tour guides to servers recommended this to us. & it was....mid to alright. It's kind of like a Canadian Cracker Barrel with lots of cute sugar shack decor & a large dining space. But the food itself was totally forgettable - my friend had a bland omelette & she was pretty sure they forgot the cheese entirely it was so dry. I can't even remember what I had to be honest it was so average. We did go to L'Antiquaire Buffet the next day & were more satisfied - their menu is smaller but they do the breakfast classics much better than La Buche. If you're a foodie with limited time in QC - skip this, no matter how many people tell you otherwise.
La Bouche is an absolutely amazing restaurant serving local Quebec cuisine. The maplewood smoked trout & the deer tartare were fantastic. Combined with a great local beer 🍺 dinner was perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice & the staff extremely friendly & assisting in the best dishes & drinks to order.
