I have been fortunate enough to travel the World (mainly on business) & have dined at some exceptional establishments including a couple Michelin Star kitchens. Without a doubt in my humble opinion Laurie Raphael deserves a star & more importantly the entire experience was very enjoyable. From the personal greeting by the co-owner along with the friendly, knowledgeable service to the unparalleled local cuisine it was the highlight of our Quebec City visit. We will make a visit to Laurie Raphael every time we come back to QC

Après une éclipse de 4 ans, nous sommes retournés au Laurie Raphaël. Nous dernière visite nous avait laissé dubitatifs (le rapport qualité/prix n'était pas au rendez-vous...)
Nous avons profité de la promotion « Table gourmande » pour voir où en était ce restaurant...
Quelle métamorphose ! Chaque plat fut un « wow! » Mixité des saveurs & textures remarquable! Accords mets-vins sublimes. Délicate attention que d'offrir les mignardises dans le bar adjacent après le repas...Ambiance relax, brigade sympathique & un chef souriant & avenant!
Ce resto pourrait sans doute recevoir au moins un macaron Michelin (se compare à des 1 ou 2 macarons visités en France & en Italie...). Bref, une bonne nouvelle pour la gastronomie de Québec!

OMG! I was expecting a decent tasting menu but I was blown away. The flavors, freshness & quality of everything was Michelin 2 star territory. The mixologist is on another level, I had the San-Alcool pairing & they all were so precise & complimentary to the dishes served with them. I would travel to QC to eat here again. Service was friendly & gladly spoke English with us. Not cheap but worth it!

Soirée très proche de la perfection, Restaurant à mi chemin entre le 1 & les 2 étoiles au Michelin : accueil parfait & très agréable, plats de qualité aux saveurs locales très travaillés, service irréprochable, nombreuses attentions tout au long du repas … quelle magnifique surprise que ce restaurant de Québec !

One of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. Michelin level.
We had the tasting course consisting of 8 dishes - each one was prepared so creatively, & each bite was delicious. Service was excellent & the staff was friendly & fun! Very knowledgeable about their dishes. Easily the best place in Quebec if not all of Canada.

Encore une fois, je recommande ce restaurant pour vivre une expérience gastronomique exceptionnels.
Vous êtes à Québec, c'est le restaurant à découvrir ou encore apprécié comme moi.
Selon moi un restaurant à la hauteur d'étoiles Michelin sans l'ombre d'un doute.

Un accueil courtois & engageant nous a mis tout de suite à l'aise. Nous avons opté pour le menu 5 services avec appariement de vins. Le personnel était attentif & discret. Le service impeccable. Quant aux mets, ils étaient succulents, tous sans exception. Une soirée mémorable. Un restaurant digne d'au moins une étoile Michelin. Nous reviendrons dès que l'occasion se présentera.

a truly superb dining experience starting as soon as one walks thru the entrance. i also loved walking thru the kitchen. the staff was wonderful being warm, welcoming, accommodating, knowledgeable. the food was the best & on a par with any of the michelin starred restaurants we have eaten at in paris & the south of france. i am certain when michelin arrives in quebec they will be a recipient.
