?5 Stars for the location, 3 Stars for the poutine. ?If you're a foodie on a quest for the city's absolute best cheese curds, you might want to keep searching. However, if you want the best seat in the house, this is it. It is the perfect spot for a first-timer to sit down, grab a meal, & take in the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac-arguably the most beautiful landmark in Canada. It's definitely worth the stop for that atmosphere alone!
?The food itself is a bit of a mixed bag:
?The Poutine: The fries are closer to a homemade breakfast potato style-still very tasty, but not your traditional homestyle fries do you expect to hive in Quebec city or the province or Quebec. If you're looking for that classic'greasy spoon' crunch, this isn't quite it.
?The Burgers: These were the surprise highlight! Absolutely delicious, juicy, & well-prepared.
?Final Verdict: Come for the iconic view of the Chateau, stay for a burger. & maybe try Poutine somewhere else unless you're really hungry & it's still better than any other poutine in Canada outside of Quebec.

La meilleure poutine que nous avons mangé. Un vrai régal & des portions généreuses. Accueil chaleureux. Nous avons passé un excellent moment avec en surplus une vue imprenable sur le château Frontenac. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

C'est un petit snack type fast food qui sert de bon burgers. Si vous allez tout au fond à droite vous aurez directement en face la vue sur le château de Québec. De nuit c'est magnifique & là ça vaut vraiment le coup !

Ate here as a walk-in: had noted it was the closest restaurant to Chateau Frontenac where we were staying & the menu looked interesting.

Got seated without issue & ordered a burger, chicken burger & a poutine to share. We also ordered two boozy milkshakes (although we found out when the bill arrived that only one of the two contained alcohol - the Maple shake on the menu has a boozy cousin which is the one I ordered, but not the one I got).

The burger was good, but unfortunately the chicken was overcooked & chewy to the point I couldn't finish it. The poutine was very good - in a super savoury mushroom sauce & served with grated cheddar.

Service was OK but largely absent (I think tables in the window where the customer is facing outward can cause this unfortunately).

For a view of the Chateau & some great milkshakes this is good! The poutines was not my favourite but the burger was solid!!

Les burgers sont excellents & d'une grosseur normale. Les frites étaient bonnes & les sodas maisons sont bien (personnellement je mettrais plus de sucre). La poutine classique n'était pas une poutine : des patates grelots avec de la genre de sauce au vin & du fromage en grain. Étrange, pas tellement bon.
Puisqu'on a mangé à côté de la cuisine ouverte, l'ambiance était bruyante & on est ressorti en sentant la friture à plein nez.
Je recommande surtout pour les burgers, mais essayez de vous asseoir dans le palier du haut, plus loin de la cuisine.

Deuxièmement visite : Burgers toujours décadents! Limonade délicieuse. Les tables sur le bord des fenêtres, donnant directement sur la rue, offre la meilleure vue sur la rue, les passants & même un bout du Château.

Delicieuse poutine! Prix raisonnables & très bon service, & une vue incroyable sur le Chateau Frontenac si vous vous asseyez en terasse.

Great spot. Very low key atmosphere. Awesome view of the Château. Nice patio with heaters for the evening. The food, cocktails, & beer were excellent & the prices were great. Definitely a good spot.
