Review Summary

Le Chic Shack offers a memorable dining experience in the heart of Old Quebec, consistently praised for its flavorful, gourmet burgers and unique poutine variations. Many diners appreciate the house-made sodas, milkshakes, and crispy, well-seasoned fries, alongside a welcoming and efficient service team. While the restaurant can become quite busy and lively due to its popular location near the Chateau Frontenac, the vibrant atmosphere and picturesque views enhance the overall meal. Whether enjoying a vegetarian option or a classic meaty favorite, guests often find the food to be fresh, satisfying, and well-suited for a casual yet high-quality break during their city explorations.

Le Chic Shack - Very conveniently located near Chateau Frontenac. The atmosphere is lively n amazing. We got to sit outside after some wait time & record the city vibe.
We had the chicken burger. It was tasty.
La Cocorico salad was very good. Fries were delicious. This the first time I could have fries without ketchup & still tasted good.
Maragarita d'ici was just right - right amount of sweet & alcohol. Mango soda was refreshing. Chocolate & strawberry Milkshakes were yummy. However. I am biased towards chocolate milkshake.
The waiters were friendly & helpful. They helped us getting seat outside for the wheelchair as well.
Overall great experience. A must revisit next time in Quebec. Bon Appetit!

Great location & the food was good, but pricey. Service was a bit slow but that seems the norm in Quebec City & gives opportunity to sit, relax, people watch. The milkshakes were good. There were two burgers we tried to order & told they didn't have & had to adjust our order.

Le Chic Shack is an absolute must-visit when you're in Quebec City.

Yes, there will likely be a lineup. & yes, it's worth every minute of the wait.

We've been here more than once, & the food has always been consistently delicious. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, & exactly what you want after a day of exploring the city. & the poutine? Absolutely fantastic. When you're in Quebec, you have to have poutine, & this place does not disappoint.

& then there's the milkshakes… so good! The perfect sweet treat to round out the meal.

What I love most is that despite being popular & busy, the quality has remained consistent every time we've visited.

If you're visiting Quebec City & wondering whether the lineup is worth it, the answer is yes. Get in line, be patient, & enjoy. Your stomach will thank you later! 😋🍔🍟🥤

First time trying poutine, & I quite enjoyed it! I got the'La Forestière' & a chocolate milkshake. Both were delicious, & the portion sizes were large (even the'small' was very filling). I would recommend to anyone wanting poutine, first time or many times, as they have a variety of flavors.

Incredible food, our burgers were delicious. I recommend the chips over the fries. The Salted Caramel Maple milkshake & our custom sodas were delicious as well. It took a while for someone to take our order & I had to get up & ask someone to bring us a check, after some failed attempts to get employee attention. The food was worth all of that.

Salted caramel maple whiskey milkshake was awesome. Bison burger was great, but I feel like it could have been better (the meat & the buns. Either make a smash burger or don't cook it so thoroughly. The fillings were perfect). I like that they make their own sodas although I didn't get to try them. My biggest issue is that the price is insane. Spent $50 for a burger & drink for 1 person, didn't even get fries

Ate here as a walk-in: had noted it was the closest restaurant to Chateau Frontenac where we were staying & the menu looked interesting.

Got seated without issue & ordered a burger, chicken burger & a poutine to share. We also ordered two boozy milkshakes (although we found out when the bill arrived that only one of the two contained alcohol - the Maple shake on the menu has a boozy cousin which is the one I ordered, but not the one I got).

The burger was good, but unfortunately the chicken was overcooked & chewy to the point I couldn't finish it. The poutine was very good - in a super savoury mushroom sauce & served with grated cheddar.

Service was OK but largely absent (I think tables in the window where the customer is facing outward can cause this unfortunately).

For a view of the Chateau & some great milkshakes this is good! The poutines was not my favourite but the burger was solid!!
