Review Summary

Le Chic Shack is a highly regarded destination in the heart of Old Quebec, known for its vibrant atmosphere and prime location near the Château Frontenac. The restaurant consistently impresses visitors with its juicy, high quality burgers and unique takes on poutine, which feature hearty, cubed potatoes and flavorful, slow cooked toppings. Guests frequently praise the extensive selection of refreshing, house made sodas and decadent milkshakes, particularly the salted maple variety. While the venue is often busy, resulting in potential waits, the service is generally described as friendly, fast, and accommodating. The combination of fresh ingredients, creative menu options, and a beautiful setting makes this a popular and satisfying choice for a casual, gourmet meal while exploring the historic city.

A nice change from all the other restaurants in the area. I got the Le Chic burger, sweet potato fries, black garlic mayo for the fries, & the mango soda. The entire meal was fantastic! The playlist that was on was also fun.

my boyfriend & i came for lunch at le chic shack during our stay in Québec city & it was AMAZING!
the food was incredible, highly recommend the maple & pepper chips. my chicken burger was also cooked to perfection. so crispy & juicy!
we were sat by the window & got to look out & see le chateau frontenac from our seats which was a nice touch.
all of the servers were super friendly, attentive & spoke great English but appreciated our minimal french

If you are looking for poutine this is not the place. Ordered the braised beef poutine & it was a soupy mess. They don't even serve the poutine with fries, despite serving fries with the burgers! Burgers were better than the poutine. I also thought it was overpriced, but you are in tourist town

Great experience at Le Chic Shack, right in the heart of the historic Old Quebec area. The location alone makes it a perfect stop while exploring the charming streets of the city.

The burgers were excellent, juicy, flavorful, & clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything felt fresh & well-prepared, from the beef to the buns & toppings.

The fries were also a highlight, with both regular & sweet potato options cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside & soft inside, with great seasoning. The in-house made drinks were refreshing & added a nice unique touch to the meal.

What makes the experience even better is the atmosphere outside. Being in the historic district means you're surrounded by beautiful architecture, lively streets, & you often hear street musicians playing nearby, which really adds to the vibe.

Overall, a fantastic spot for a casual but high-quality meal in one of the most beautiful areas of Quebec City. Highly recommended!

Good burger joint with a great view. Veggie burger available is quite good, which I had, & partner said their bison burger was also delicious. The poutine range is very good, we had a mushroom one (veggie) which was quite different to other poutine we have tried but still really delicious. I would have happily eaten the large option as a meal on its own (we had the small to share with our burgers). Views onto the big chateau are really nice to enjoy while eating. Staff were really helpful & friendly & the service was nice & fast & polite. Was very happy to tip them at the end.

This is a nice burger place very close to the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.if you want a reasonably priced good tasting burger & fried instead of an overpriced full menu meal this is an excellent choice. We had the La chic burger & fries. The regula fry order m is plenty for two people. Their Boreale beer is excellent as well. We enjoyed the service & the meal thank you

?5 Stars for the location, 3 Stars for the poutine. ?If you're a foodie on a quest for the city's absolute best cheese curds, you might want to keep searching. However, if you want the best seat in the house, this is it. It is the perfect spot for a first-timer to sit down, grab a meal, & take in the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac-arguably the most beautiful landmark in Canada. It's definitely worth the stop for that atmosphere alone!
?The food itself is a bit of a mixed bag:
?The Poutine: The fries are closer to a homemade breakfast potato style-still very tasty, but not your traditional homestyle fries do you expect to hive in Quebec city or the province or Quebec. If you're looking for that classic'greasy spoon' crunch, this isn't quite it.
?The Burgers: These were the surprise highlight! Absolutely delicious, juicy, & well-prepared.
?Final Verdict: Come for the iconic view of the Chateau, stay for a burger. & maybe try Poutine somewhere else unless you're really hungry & it's still better than any other poutine in Canada outside of Quebec.
