Atmosphere & location were the only great things about this place. The fries weren't fresh-cut & tasted like they were reheated, & the cheeseburger, so small & nothing to it. Walk a bit & try better.

Located in the heart of old Quebec City with a view of the Chateau Frontenac, Le Chic Shack meets all expectations. The food was great. We ordered the chic & bbq poulet burgers along with regular & sweet potato fries. We also tried the homemade soda that is one of the options for the burger combo. It was yummy & refreshing. We had the cola & lemonade flavours. Overall great experience & highly recommended!

A Delightful Dining Experience at Le Chic Shack, Quebec During our visit to the historic Plains of Abraham, we were fortunate to stumble upon Le Chic Shack for dinner. From the moment we entered, Alex welcomed us with a warm smile & seated us comfortably at a table for four. Our dining experience was particularly memorable thanks to our waitress, Jane. She was not only friendly & engaging throughout our visit but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Her expertise was invaluable as she adeptly navigated our dietary restrictions, ensuring that one of our party could enjoy their meal without onion & garlic. We started with a Borrale Lager, a refreshing choice similar to Budweiser. For our main courses, we opted for vegetarian versions of their signature dishes. The Le Jardin veggie patty was a hit, & the vegetarian versions of Le Classique & La Forestière were absolute delights, each dish showcasing the kitchen's ability to balance flavor with dietary needs. We rounded off our meal with some exceptional desserts: Whisky salé à l'érable, a FRAPPE AUX FRUITS, & Lucy's Ice Cream Sandwich, each adding a sweet finale to our dining experience. Our visit to Le Chic Shack was not just a meal, but a memorable highlight of our Quebec journey, marked by delicious food & exemplary service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality dining with a smile!

It's a nice little place & I had the Korean poutine & wanted to be adventurous & try something different & overall it's pretty good but not the best I had. I was hoping for the traditional cut fries you find in the traditional poutine & not the curd potatoes. Shake was decent as well. I would come back & try the burger next time because it does look good.

came here for the vegan poutine, was kind of bummed that it was served with cubed potatoes instead of fries- I would recommend asking them to swap out the potato for the fries. vegan gravy was good; tofu was alright. giving 4 stars based on what I think it would be like with fries instead. EDIT: on the menu it says it's served with crispy hand- smashed potatoes, which it is not, they're just cubed. smashed potato's (as advertised) or fries would've been nicer with this meal.

Burger was tasty, fries crispy like they should, home made soda was nice was well. The highlight was the whisky maple syrup milk shake - what an awesome creation of sugar & fat :D love it!

Delicious poutine & fantastic service! Normally I'd be wary of eating somewhere so close to the tourist centre, but I visited Le Chic Shack based on the strong reviews, & was delighted to do so! It's an alternative gastro take on the traditional dish, so instead of fries / chips, you get cubes of potatoes, but they work well with the sauce & curds. I also had one with the mushroom ragu that really elevated the dish. The homemade spritzers are also really good. I also loved the service, really friendly & helpful, they were great! Highly recommended!

Pleasant crew, delicious poutine, real potatoes instead of fries, homemade soda drink. Everything was fantastic. Will recommend it to anyone who's looking for authentic food.
