Review Summary

Le Chic Shack offers a memorable dining experience in the heart of Old Quebec, consistently praised for its flavorful, gourmet burgers and unique poutine variations. Many diners appreciate the house-made sodas, milkshakes, and crispy, well-seasoned fries, alongside a welcoming and efficient service team. While the restaurant can become quite busy and lively due to its popular location near the Chateau Frontenac, the vibrant atmosphere and picturesque views enhance the overall meal. Whether enjoying a vegetarian option or a classic meaty favorite, guests often find the food to be fresh, satisfying, and well-suited for a casual yet high-quality break during their city explorations.

Incredible service & kind staff! Vegan poutine just straight up had tomato sauce instead of gravy though… also it came on chunks of potatoes instead of French fries which is odd because we saw other tables have french fries. like it wasn't necessarily bad but maybe it should be mentioned on the menu that it's tomato sauce & not a cool vegan mushroom gravy or something lol
Anyways 5 stars

Une bonne surprise pour des poutines originales. Bons burgers aussi. Des boissons maison. Ambiance & déco sympa.

I was so happy to see kimchi bulgogi poutine on the menu! It was a fun & unique twist. However, the food overall was quite salty & intense, possibly because there was too much sauce. I also ordered the veggie salad, but the dressing was extremely tangy-so much so that it made my tongue sting. On the bright side, the tomato soup was absolutely fantastic!

Poutine was okay, not great. Like many restaurants the staff were run off their feet with a full restaurant. They did their best considering the volume.
Take out was not available.

After waiting for over 40 mins without even the drinks we ordered, the service staff realized that they did not submit our order. We didn't make a fuss - mistakes can happen. Then, after waiting another 30 mins, all the while with a 10-year old kid walking around our table & knocking down my jacket off my chair, a service person came to tell us they had run out of poutine sauce (you would have thought they would have known this 20 mins earlier when our order was finally submitted). She gave us the choice to wait another 20 mins or order something that we didn't want. We asked them for a different sauce with our order - a compromise. Our order arrived with non-descript poutine sauce (which we were told they we out of). Overall, a really disappointing & unpleasant experience.
