Opened in 2012 by Lucy and Evan Price (co-owners of L’Auberge Saint-Antoine), Le Chic Shack offers delicious burgers, poutines, salads, shakes and sodas crafted from fresh quality ingredients that have been carefully sourced from a select group of local purveyors. From our bison to our lobster, Le Chic Shack is committed to utilizing the highest quality ingredients.

Reviews had this as a top destination in Old Quebec for putine. Having never sampled this Canadian specialty, this had to be the starting point. The place is obviously very popular based on the line outside down the sidewalk. We waited for about 30 minutes. It was a Sunday afternoon around 2:00. We ordered Putine with braised beef & a salad with chicken & a bunch of other stuff. The menu noted the fact that their putine is made with cubed potatoes instead of the usual (at least I thought) french fries. Turns out it was beef roast with cheese curds. I expected a thick, creamy gravy & got braising liquid over roasted potatoes. It tasted very good but not what I was expecting. The salad was wonderful with mixed greens, berts, parsnips, green beans, cherry tomatoes, savory granola, & a tart, horseradishy dressing. Out service was very prompt & the place has a very energetic vibe. Parking? Forget about it.

POUTINE VEGANO!
Estuvo interesante! Pedimos poutine vegano y estaba bastante rico, la salsa de tomate muy natural y la papa deliciosa. ( era con tofu) además pedimos una ensalada que estuvo muy completa con muchas semillas, y hojas. Nos sorprendió.
Acompanamos de dos cervezas locales deliciosas.
El ambiente concurrido, se hace fila. Ubicación perfecta y nos sentamos con vista a la calle en una ventanita.

The best burgers & milk shakes in town! Great vegetarian burgers with a delicious real patty (not the impossible non sense) - Rafael was our server & was very polite, looked after us really well. Burger was slightly expensive & didn't come with a side - the only downside.

The burgers were small, tasted processed, & were as salty as hades, the'poutine' was a few baby potatoes (not fries) sitting in some brownish water that was pretending to be gravy, & now my husband has the worst farts & I'm stuck in an RV with him for hours. The only reason it got 2 stars for food was the milkshake was good. In & out tourist trap - avoid!

Great place to eat when you are in Old Quebec. It doesn't feel like a tourist trap, on the contrary, good food & good prices. burgers are great & even the salads are phenomenal.
