We had an outstanding meal with a very nice bottle of wine, recommended by our server. We started with their home made cheese & leeks, & the fried mushroom, both excelent. The hanger steak was perfection & the pork cheeks with pasta was decadent. We did not have room for dessert!
Apéritif : cocktail Cardinal (rhum blanc, canneberges, menthe, lime) ❤?
Entrée : boudin noir, samosa, Bourget, menthe ❤?
Plat principal : Morue, orge torréfié, crème d'ail, épinards, pistou 👍 Dessert : Tropézienne ( 👉un peu fade a mon goût)
I'm writing this review as we just finished our dessert & had to make sure I share my experience because I hope anyone who reads this review understands that you need to come here.
From the beginning, we had such amazing service from our hostess Livia & server Zachary. We had a lovely wine recommendation & the food..
Every single bite we took made us go, wow. The combination of flavours, textures - everything worked so well together. We started off with the Fresh Cheese & Mackerel, followed by the Casarecce & Fish of the day (cod). The meats were so tender, melting in our mouths.. finally, the Baba dessert! I could have 10 of those.
If you are still looking for a good place to experience some amazing cuisine, look no further. We'll be back & recommending all our friends visiting Quebec City.

Beautiful restaurant with a super welcoming & friendly server. Highlight was the hanger steak which was the best steak I ever had, very soft & flavourful & we would come back for this! Also enjoyed the bread butter & halibut & creme brûlée for dessert. It was our first night in Quebec City & we were delighted by this dinner. Merci!
My siblings & I gathered at Le Clocher Penche as part of our reunion. Visiting QC for the first time, we wanted a dining experience that was professional & yet homey. This restaurant provided both beautifully. Le Clocher Penche offered a varied menu which suited our large group. From cocktails & hors d'oeuvres to amazing entrees & desserts, our evening was absolutely superb! Thank you for making our stay in your city a memorable one.
Loved our visit to Le Clocher Penché! The place is lively & stylish yet casual & warm, & the food was amazing. The souse with oysters was a standout, & the baba dessert was perfect.
Bistro atmosphere, upbeat & energetic. Food is creative & imaginative & phenomenal. Flavours are complex & crafted. Service was attentive & knowledgeable. A memorable evening! Blood pudding was a revelation! Cost is appy+main+shared dessert before wine
We stopped in about 930 pm for dessert & a drink & had a fantastic experience. It was busy but the server found us a table quickly. We had excellent service & thought the food was delicious. Great cozy atmosphere - we'd come back again anytime.
As this was our first night in Quebec City, we did not know what to expect from the food scene. We were delighted with our meal. The service was excellent & the ambiance, casual, but clearly serious about food & wine, right up our alley. The hanger steak was excellent, perfectly prepared. The house made pasta in a tomato cream sauce was special. Definitely get the bread, the compound butter will blow you away. They were happy to let us split a delicious mozzarella & tomato'salad'…we wanted to save room for dessert. The crème brûlée was the best I have ever had. Thankfully a large portion because I practically had to fight my husband for my half! Such a delightful start to our Quebec vacation!!
Our dinner at Le Clocher Penché was nothing short of extraordinary. We started with fresh bread, perfectly warm with rich, flavorful butter - a simple yet flawless introduction to the evening.
The labneh dish was a standout - creamy & tangy labneh paired with beluga lentils, radicchio, olives, & almonds, creating a wonderful balance of textures & flavors. Every bite was fresh, earthy, & satisfying.
The pasta dish was equally outstanding - the conchiglie with tomato, guanciale, & basil was cooked to perfection, enveloped in a luscious sauce that was both rich & aromatic, with bright basil tying it all together.
To finish, the crème brûlée was impeccable - the caramelized top offered that perfect crack, revealing a silky, decadent custard beneath. It was the kind of dessert that makes you pause & savor every spoonful.
Le Clocher Penché's Michelin-reviewed reputation is well-deserved. From the attentive service to the refined, flavor-driven dishes, this is a restaurant that delivers on every level. Absolutely outstanding & a must-visit in Quebec City.
