Dinner at Le Continental was very disappointing. Our waiter from Milan was very aggressive & tried to get my kids to order other things that they did not even want. He was also very aggressive in getting us to drink more than we wanted to & we had to insist that we did not want more. The Caesar salad & the foie gras onion soup were amazing. Their signature filet mignon was drenched in sauce & was overwhelming. The veal sweet breads were also very disappointing. Desserts were overly sugary & could not eat them. We also ordered escargot of which they were only snails in five out of the six. We were told that the missing one would be replaced, but still never received it. Overall was very disappointed with this restaurant & would never go back or recommend it. While the concept of them cooking table side was cool. The food needs to be up to par for the prices they asked for. At the end our waiter also said to us' we have done an excellent service for you tonight cooking for you & we expect you to give us also an excellent tip.' while we are always gracious tippers I found his comment extremely rude & forward.
Remy provided exceptional service making this celebratory meal memorable. From a Caesar salad made at the table to flambé steak then peaches it was fun & tasty.
We had the Caesar salad made at the table & Duck à l'orange, both delicious & a show. Cannot beat a flambé! Limited food options for picky kids but they made pasta with ragu which was perfect. Fantastic, fun & attentive staff.

went through this past summer, the experience was amazing, top tier service top tier food, & the price is pretty reasonable,, the drinks were expensive, the Caesar salad was on another level of greatness, & as you can see the shrimp cocktail was just phenomenal, we had the filet mignon & also the snow crab, I cannot recommend this place enough can't wait to go back
The Caesar Salad was amazing. Rack of lamb was tender & delicious & the seared fois gras was excellent. A wonderful night out for a special occasion or just because.
Our meal was delicious! From the table side made Caesar salad to our Chateaubriand for two, everything was top notch. The staff was so friendly & welcoming. We truly enjoyed everything!
Great service. Our server was funny & friendly. BEST Caesar salad I've ever had (regardless of the visual / performative aspect). The Dijon mustard & fresh garlic makes the sauce bright & refreshing, & the candied bacon is just a spectacular touch. Foie gras was slightly fishy, & needed a touch more salt. The shrimp was good, very buttery. Wish the garlic was a bit more robust, & any kind of herbs to balance out the oily flavor. Overall very good food (As an avid home baker I have more details about the Black Forest cake below) it had the perfect amount of sugar - So much better than any xake in the US I didn't get enough of the maraschino cherry syrup / kirsch (alcohol) flavor in the cake. It's moist & nice texture wise, which is great. The whipped cream is a bit too dull / weak to support what's going on w the cake. It needed a bit more cherries. Overall, extremely well done food & a great experience. I'd come back in the future when visiting Quebec!
Le Continental is a true gem for French cuisine & a must-visit for any food lover! From the moment we walked in, we felt transported by the elegant ambiance & impeccable service. Our waiter, Butch, was absolutely incredible-attentive, knowledgeable, & brought such charm to our dining experience. The food was exceptional! The filet was perfectly cooked & melted in our mouths, the seafood platter was fresh & beautifully presented, & the beef carpaccio was a delightful start. The Caesar salad for two, prepared tableside, was not only a delicious highlight but also a fun & interactive touch that made our evening feel extra special. Every detail of our meal was perfection, & we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a place that combines exquisite food, outstanding service, & an unforgettable dining experience, Le Continental is it!
My husband & I booked a table here during our honeymoon at the recommendation of a co-worker of mine. It was the coolest dining experience we have ever had. Right from the second we walked up to the door we received the best service we have ever had a a restaurant. The man at the host desk was very kind & entertained my sub par (at best) French, joking that he appreciated the effort & would continue to speak to me in French so I could practice. Our server came to the table & right away asked if we would prefer French or English. We started with the Caesar salad for two as our appetizer. It was assembled right at the table, with our server explaining every ingredient as he mixed it in. It was a very large portion & was phenomenal. Next we both decided on the peppercorn strip loin as our mains. It was such a cool experience to have the steak cooked in front of us, & of course the flambé piece was quite the show. The side dish was asparagus, roasted potatoes & diced carrots in a cream sauce. They were all good but nothing special, the steak was definitely the star of the show. All of the staff was interactive & attentive. At no point did either of our water glasses or other drinks get empty before they were refilled or we were asked if we would like another. My husband had beer & I started with a cosmopolitan, & had a glass of Pinot noir with my main. The staff were very knowledgeable regarding drink options & flavour profiles when it came to pairing a wine with the food options. For dessert we got the crème brûlée to share which was just as amazing as everything else. We would 100% return to this restaurant & recommend it to anyone looking for a one of a kind type of dining experience.
This is a lovely restaurant, classic & elegant but not stuffy. The Mature'd was charming. Our server Nicholas let me taste two wines before choosing. We had the Caesar salad for 2 prepared at the table It was delicious. We had 2 of the specials Rack of Lamb & Beef Wellington. Delicious & generous portions.
