We stopped by Le Continental Friday evening with the kids & honestly it was one of our smoother family dinners out in a while, no meltdowns, no long waits. The tableside caesar salad prep got both kids weirdly fascinated & quiet for a few minutes, which alone made it worth it. Staff brought crayons over without us even asking & checked in on the little ones a few times, which we really appreciated. Great spot for families who want something a step above casual without the stress.

Le Continental has a beautiful, classic atmosphere that perfectly suits the style of the restaurant. We started with the Caesar salad, which was prepared tableside. It was good, although not dramatically different from a typical Caesar salad.
For the main course, we had the flambéed shrimp with whisky & the filet mignon, both prepared tableside & both very tasty. The highlight of the meal was definitely the raspberry chocolate dome-it was excellent.
The service was very good & attentive. One small detail that could be improved: for a restaurant of this calibre, I think fresh flowers would be a much nicer touch than artificial ones.

Le Continental is much more than a great restaurant: it is an experience. In addition to the excellent food, its main attraction is watching how the flambé dishes are prepared right at your table. With more than 90 years of history, it preserves a tradition that few places maintain, with a team that perfectly masters the art of cooking & flambéing in elegant copper pans.

It does not have a Michelin star, nor does it need one. Its true strength is the service & the connection it creates with its guests. In our case, Carlos, a Chilean who now lives in Canada, took wonderful care of us & made us feel at home from the very first moment.

We ordered a Caesar salad prepared at the table, an excellent chateaubriand finished on the spot with a delicious mushroom sauce, accompanied by a young Pinot Noir that paired very well. To finish, the house crêpes with maple syrup were the perfect ending.

If you visit Quebec, Le Continental is not just an excellent option for dinner: it is a gastronomic spectacle that is absolutely worth experiencing.

We chose the Continental to celebrate our mutual birthdays, & we were seeking not just a great meal but an'Experience' & we were not disappointed. Denis made the meal great. We loved the Caesar Salad being made at the table, & it was delicious, & the Cherries Jubilee for dessert topped it all off. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great treat & experience in dining.

I have not had a meal like this since Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia closed in 2013. The made from scratch Caesar Salad for 2 made table side will bring me back to enjoying salad. The Lobster Newburg (not always available) prepared table side was surprisingly light but satiating. The lobster was caught fresh this morning. The Beef Wellington (a standard menu item) is mouthwatering. Oh, & the Strawberry Shortcake was divine. The team of servers was professional & skilled. This is not inaccessible French dining. The staff is kind, friendly & inviting. They also made a gluten free meal without missing a beat.

Le Continental is an institution in Quebec City. We were delighted with our 🍽? meal. The Châteaubriand for 2 with mushroom sauce was fantastic! & the Caesar Salad 🥗 dressing made fresh at the table was delicious 😋! Make a reservation & try this restaurant if you're ever in Quebec City.

We went here for a special occasion on our yearly trip to Quebec City for Winter Carnaval. Absolutely amazing food, probably the best caesar salad I have ever eaten. My peppercorn sirloin was cooked expertly by Andrea tableside. Would definitely return!

Amazing service & delicious food experience. Caesar salad made at the table was the BEST we've had anywhere! Our server Allan made sure the beef cooked right at the table was also a delightful culinary experience; especially the flame at the end! Highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Quebec.

We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious dinner at The Continental. Preparation for most menu items is table side - a lost art. But here all is executed expertly & with wonderful results. We shared the Caesar salad for two, Chateaubriand for two, & Crepes Suzette for two. All fantastic. What memorable evening.
