Excellent service & excellent food at this classic French steakhouse. We always make sure to reserve a table at this fabulous restaurant whenever we come to Quebec City. Bring your cameras as your waiter prepares your flambé dinner right at the table!
This restaurant is located in the old city & one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. Classic classic French cuisine. Each table is served by a team that are top notch. Catering to your every desire. The menu is varied but weighted with many meat choices. Also many dishes are prepared at your table which is so cool. We ordered the Caesar salad which of course was prepared at the table. Best Caesar I ever had. After that the Chateaubriand for 2 which was finished off at the table with flaming cognac. Included were 5 different veggies. We also opted for a side of lobster tail. All cooked to perfection. Every single dish was Wow. Unfortunately, no room for dessert but the choices were 4 different kinds of flambee. ... Next time.

Tuxedos & flames by your table as your meals are cooked to perfection. Traditional French dinning at its best when you witness how butter can turn into different amazing flavorful sauces that blend in harmony with the different types of foods. Come here again in a decade & you wish time sits still & nothing changes here.
This wonderful classic Quebec City French restaurant was a perfect way to celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversary trip. The staff was welcoming , & professional . We enjoyed our'flambe expert' & excellent waiter Dennis. We started off with the Escargots, I chose the fresh Lobster & Dennis created Lobster Newburg table side for us. My husband chose the Filet Mignon, also prepared tableside with Dennis' finesse. Both dishes were heaven to eat! .They came with Asparagus, delicious chopped carrots & either Parmesan potatoes or saffron rice. We truly wanted to try one of the the crepes for 2 for dessert, but we were full from dinner. I wanted to try something I hadn't had before & we shared the baked Alaska. Grand Marnier was poured over the frozen dessert table side & lit. It was refreshing & delicious with a beautiful orange flavor that came thru nicely after the alcohol burned off . I hope to return again sometime in the future . Merci Beaucoup to Le Continental for a lovely, memorable celebration dinner .
Reserved table for 5 including three children (one infant in stroller) to celebrate spouse's birthday for which the host & servers were accommodating & engaging throughout the meal. Table side food prep &'fire' did not disappoint, however the food itself does not justify the cost. Ordered filet mignon, orange duck, veal sweetbreads ravioli, sea scallops, escargot, & a birthday cake slice, total came out to around 311CAD pre-tip. Enjoyed the first time experience of French dining, but do not plan on going back.
I've been coming here since a child & now enjoy it even more as an adult. This is a dying breed of dining. Old school French with career servers that are amazing at what they do. & of course the food is amazing.
Le Continental is a true gem for French cuisine & a must-visit for any food lover! From the moment we walked in, we felt transported by the elegant ambiance & impeccable service. Our waiter, Butch, was absolutely incredible-attentive, knowledgeable, & brought such charm to our dining experience. The food was exceptional! The filet was perfectly cooked & melted in our mouths, the seafood platter was fresh & beautifully presented, & the beef carpaccio was a delightful start. The Caesar salad for two, prepared tableside, was not only a delicious highlight but also a fun & interactive touch that made our evening feel extra special. Every detail of our meal was perfection, & we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a place that combines exquisite food, outstanding service, & an unforgettable dining experience, Le Continental is it!
