After the first time my husband & I ate at Don Vegan, while visiting beautiful Quebec City, we ate there again four more times over our short 3 night stay!
We just returned from a trip back to Quebec City with our children & they all loved it! Whether you are vegan or not, you will be shocked how flavorful & versatile vegan food can be! All of the dishes we tried were delicious! My favorite was the Agnolottis. I did not miss ricotta cheese one bit!! Their mocktails & desserts are amazing as well. The service was spectacular as the staff there truly cares about their patron's experience!

It's a rare experience for vegans & vegetarians to be able to order anything on the menu. Le Don is funky with a touch elegance. The service was excellent & there was a variety of well prepared & presented vegan dishes & beverages to choose from.
This is an all-vegan restaurant, & we were excited to visit on the weekend to try a variety of dishes from their interesting menu. Unfortunately, we were limited to the brunch menu & just a few selections from the lunch menu, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the food we did try was excellent. I had the mushroom risotto, which was absolutely incredible. My friends ordered the Le Don & enjoyed it, but we all agreed the risotto was the standout. Looking forward to coming back to try more of the full menu!

What a fabulous way to start our vacation in Quebec City! We were so happy to find a vegan restaurant a short walk from where we're staying. The atmosphere is fun & cozy. Our server was friendly & helpful, always available & quick to serve. & the food…INCREDIBLE! Our appetizers, main courses, & dessert were all perfect. So delicious. We also enjoyed two fo their signature cocktails. We will definitely go back again before we leave to try some of the other dishes.
The food at Don Vegan is nothing short of delicious. The flavours are rich, strong, & actually vary from dish to dish. It is common for vegan dishes to have similar flavor profiles because they often rely on a common ingredient that makes up the substance of several dishes. Don Vegan is not like that. The Risotto & pasta, for example, share no common flavor profile & rival their non-vegan counterparts. They have a fixed price, 3 course meal available which has satisfying portions & comes at a great price, especially considering the location & common rates in tourist spots. The atmosphere is nice, though it is a smaller venue. We have been lucky to have been seated without wait, but when we were here in the summer, it was VERY busy.
Tried this all vegan restaurant that got written up in Condé Nast when highlighting different sites in Quebec City. I had seen this before reading the blog too when searching for vegetarian restaurants in Old Quebec City. Anyhow, great ambience with exposed brick walls, cozy with mood lighting. Drinks were very weak. Had meat substitutes with some of the dishes ordered - 2 squash risotto was excellent (had mock chicken in it) & spagetti bolognese which also had the mock meat. Food was tasty but super pricy.

Service: Our server was incredibly friendly & attentive to every detail, ensuring that we had a great experience. From recommendations to making sure everything was perfect, the service was excellent. Food: The food was a highlight - everything is vegan & absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, & each dish was well-prepared. Additionally, the portion sizes are generous, making it easy to share dishes with others. It's clear the restaurant takes great care in crafting its menu. Atmosphere: The restaurant offers both indoor & outdoor seating, providing flexibility depending on your preference or the weather. The ambiance was relaxed & enjoyable, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Convenience: The one minor downside is that parking is on the street, which can be a bit inconvenient. However, this didn't detract from the overall experience too much. Overall Impression: This spot is an excellent choice for anyone looking for vegan food, whether you're vegan yourself or just enjoy high-quality meals. With quick service, delicious dishes, & sizeable portions, it's easy to recommend. There were no negatives - everything we ordered was truly outstanding. We'll definitely be returning soon!
