This was by far the best dining experience I had while in Quebec City. I got in the afternoon before it got too busy at dinner so it was nice & quiet. The atmosphere of this place is unmatched, even the toilets were super cool & showed the history!
My server was great as well & if it weren't for his recommendation I wouldn't have had such a great experience.
First I got homemade bread, classic French entree, & it was so warm, fluffy & nice (& dangerous), with the truffle butter being very earthy.
But the star of the show was the blood pudding, something I've never had, with escargot & potato. This elevated dish had so many components, from the egg yolk on the potato adding slight sourness, but the potato being so creamy with a great mouth feel. The mushroom veal sauce added a nice moistness to the whole dish & was very strong. The Parm elevated the snails which nice & tender a lot. But the blood pudding sounds weird but was so warm, & moist with steam coming right out. There were little onions inside that added to the aromatics & texture. The flavours were unique, complex & rich. The dish was also so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it.

Overall the value for this place is crazy, you get an amazing French meal for a reasonable price. If you visit Quebec City, go here. The locals are so lucky to have this.

The food & ambience are excellent & unique, but the staff were exceptional. This is the first time I have heard friends who are trying to practice French asked if they would like their service in French or English, as opposed to switching to English as soon as some difficulty or English intonation is noted. The gentleman, whose name unfortunately escapes me, providing service for Saturday brunch did this & absolutely made their day by doing a full run down of the menu in French & continuing to work with them in French, even if it took a little longer. This was a memorably good meal & a place I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Brunch & breakfast food itself was great. The menu is quite unique - I can't say I've had a beet based eggs Benedict before, but it was great!

The deviled eggs side & the blood pudding main were delicious. The breakfast old fashioned will wake you up haha
Our server was great but the host was a little abrupt. Cute spot. Wish they dug into the hobbit theme more.

Very interesting menu, good coffee & not the typical eggs for breakfast, the banana dessert was incredible good & great for sharing 😋 definitely recommended (3rd visit)

Had Sunday brunch at this popular breakfast place. The standard big breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham & smashed potatoes was hearty & delicious. Service was cordial & professional. A satisfying experience.

My wife & I visited on our honeymoon. The place was charming, with gorgeous art on the walls that welcomes you in. The staff were very helpful & provided great recommendations which resulted in a very memorable brunch experience. Our server was fun & playful, but in a professional & courteous way. The food was beautiful, creative, & most importantly, delicious. I had the confit squash with a poached egg while my wife had the eggs Benedict with a carrot purre. We had deviled eggs on the side as well. They display their Michelin recommendation proudly & they should. I would advise anyone looking for a cute brunch date spot to stop in.

One of our best meals ever. We had the best experience in Le Hobbit, from the moment we walked in without a reservation, Marjorie with a smile made an effort & found us a table. We couldn't have had a better experience, & both Marjorie & Sylvie were fantastic with their recommendations & explanations. The food was out of this world delicious, such a combination of flavors with great taste,…from the foie gras, to the carrot doughnut, roasted eggplant appetizer to the duck confit, everything was outstandingly different, flavorful, & exciting. You can't come up with the flavor combinations & the experiences they bring to your palate. The pannacota to finish was to die fo

My husband & I ended up eating breakfast here twice on our recent trip because it was THAT good! Can recommend the sea urchin scrambled eggs & the ratatouille with poached egg, as well as the chicken & waffles. Excellent place with lovely service & great food.

Recommended by the Michelin Guide & the locals, this restaurant truly lives up to its hype. Their brunch signature dishes were delightful & flavorful. The sea urchin scrambled eggs was rich & complex. The blood pudding was smooth & creamy. The staff was incredibly friendly. Valerie, in particular, was dynamic & cheerful, which made our meal all the more memorable.
