We had brunch at Le Hobbit today. Very nice place, very nice guys, service fast & they paid attention to my intolerances.
My husband had chicken & waffle, & for me the big brunch (the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten!) with a refreshing homemade lemonade!
Thank you!
We had a wonderful brunch at Le Hobbit, a Michelin-rated gem that blends creativity with comforting flavors. The presentation was beautiful across all dishes, but the flavors truly lived up to the visuals.
I had the blood sausage dish, which was incredibly rich & well-balanced. The sausage was seared to perfection & served atop a smooth, smoky purée with blistered shishito peppers & a tangy onion-mustard topping that cut through the richness beautifully.
Others at our table enjoyed a varied & well-executed spread-waffles, grilled toast, crispy potatoes drizzled with aioli, thick-cut bacon, & eggs done just right. The standout visually & flavor-wise was a vibrant egg dish topped with a silky golden sauce & crunchy seeds that added texture & flair.
Service was attentive yet relaxed, & the patio seating made for a bright, pleasant experience. Definitely a must-stop for a refined yet approachable meal in Quebec City.
Cute spot with really good service & really cute vibes. Like the name suggests, the ambiance is quite hobbit feeling. Cozy, comfortable & inviting.
The eggs benedict is a little odd - unique for sure, but not my cup of tea. A bit too different for my personal liking.
The chicken & waffles however were fantastic, & highly recommended.
The deviled eggs looked delicious, would definitely try those the next time I'm in town.
Lattes can use some work, but definitely one of the better lattes I've had at a brunch spot that isn't a dedicated cafe. Taste was good but latte art & milk texture needed some work.
Overall a great spot for brunch.

My partner & I found this restaurant while on a walk & I'm so glad we did! We stopped in on a Monday afternoon & they were serving their brunch & lunch menus. It was relatively quiet with a few tables filled with folks on business lunches or casual hang outs.
We sat down right away & I asked if they had iced tea, to which our incredible server replied,'no, but I can make one!' & then proceeded to make the most delicious & refreshing beverage! Everything we had was absolutely fantastic & it ended up being one of our favorite meals in the city. The Çilbir had the most fresh & delicious garlic yogurt with chickpeas roasted to perfection. The poached eggs & yogurt made it easy to scoop up the chickpeas for a full & delicious bite. I'll be dreaming about this for a long time. Somehow this was only $13 CAD as well!
The tartiflette was also amazing. I wanted to drink the sauce right out of the bowl. The bacon was thick & flavorful. The homemade focaccia was…perfect. Loved the butter.
The deviled eggs were so incredibly tasty. The fried chicken skin on top was the perfect addition for texture & well-seasoned.
HIGHLY recommend coming here. We can't wait to come back!
This restaurant is so good; I've been to Quebec twice & Le Hobbit three times. Our waiter Max was friendly, accommodating, & just lovely. The food is always a 10/10. Get the chicken & waffles! & the Spanish potatoes. But the eggs Benedict was also a crowd favorite. We'll be back next time!
Everything about this place is perfect. The warm welcome, attentive friendly service, best coffee, excellent food & great ambience are all so good!
We were visiting the area & ate breakfast here each day of our stay. The flavours of the eggs benedict & salmon gravlax were perfectly balanced. Do yourself a favour & try the deviled eggs too.
Thanks for an awesome breakfast experience & the best coffee in town, from some grateful Aussies.
Beautiful patio overlooking the library, tasteful interior, excellent espresso, best eggs Benedict, thoughtful & quick service. Don't miss this spot if you are ever in Quebec City!
Had a great but light brunch here, with super friendly & informative service (thanks for being so amazing)! We had the salmon gravlax, which was the highlight dish, we would definitely recommend. We had an Eggs Benedict which was very good too, & finally had a very refreshing cucumber drink which was recommended by the staff, lived up to its refreshing & tasty recommendation. A cute spot with nice indoor seating & a small outdoor patio too. Their dinner menu looked very appetizing & look forward to trying that in the future. Thanks!
Terrific brunch experience. The eggs benedict is a classic, but you must also get the salmon gravlax! The whole restaurant was being served by one friendly & wonderful man named Simon. Thanks for a perfect start to the day!
