I rated Legende 5 star but it was better than that. Everything was shear perfection, the food, the ambiance, the service & the presentation. Julian, our server, had recently joined the staff but described the entrees like a veteran. Plus his wine pairings were spot on. We ordered Ala carte entrees. The food was unique using all locally sourced ingredients & delicious. This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!

Unfortunately a little bit of a disappointment. We got seats at the bar because we were eager to socialize with the staff & hear about our food, but the gentleman serving the rest of the bar mostly ignored us because we did not speak French. We were seated in the back corner of the bar by the service station & it took almost a half an hour to even get a cocktail. The feeling that we were being ignored due to our lack of French prevailed throughout the meal, & I can't say I would recommend coming here if you are not French speaking. We got the tasting menu & the food was ok but didn't blow us away. We were hoping to try unique flavors with boreal ingredients, but instead they used boreal ingredients to mimic the taste of unavailable ingredients, for example, tomatoes were used in tiramisu. The Ceviche was good, but we were a little unclear on how the fish was cured since we were told there is no citrus grown in Quebec. We asked the servers but were not able to get a clear answer. The pasta was boring. The best thing was the wine pairing, the sommelier was fantastic, pairings were incredibly unique & well thought out.
Engaging, enthusiastic staff, beyond creative & innovative use of local ingredients, beautiful plating/presentation, unique non alcoholic beverage pairing for tasting menu made for a thoroughly wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend.
Our dinner was amazing. We started the evening sitting outside. The drinks were perfect for a summer evening. I had the aquavit martini & my husband had the cucumber G&T. We did the wine pairing with dinner. Each course was delicious. A lot of effort went into each dish & each bite is full of flavor, & is a pure expression of the earth & local ingredients. You won't find anything that is not grown locally. The presentation & the service was impeccable.
Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Quebec. The quality & friendliness of service, the locally sourced fresh & flavorful ingredients (everything from Oysters to Caviar to fish to veggies to wine), the upscale but not overly done settings/atomsohere... everything was perfect here! We fully enjoyed our dinning experience here. Highly recommended to anyone looking for top quality creative food.
We travel the world & dine at many awesome establishments. This place stands out for several reasons. With dishes focusing on regional ingredients & cocktails that were equally creative & well paired with the food. The service was incredible. We sat at the bar & learned a good bit from the bartender. Perfect place for foodies with a quiet, lovely environment.
It was a wonderful dinner- great food, very friendly service, & good wine. The tasting menu ingredients are truly unique for us non-locals ... leading to some memorable bites. I highly recommend to go!
