My friend & I had a delicious ham & cheese croissant & carrot cake, along with great coffee. There was plenty of seating plus washrooms. They had a ton of pastry & lunch options. The only downsides were confusing/disorganized ordering & being on the pricey side.
Definitely a worthwhile place to visit, especially for a light breakfast. The selection of baked goods, or viennoiserie, was mouth-watering. Staff were very friendly & it's really nice inside. My only deduction on service is a somewhat awkward ordering process...you simply order at the counter but it just didn't flow well... Hard to explain but it wouldn't stop me from going back.
Very expensive for what you are getting. I was really expecting something good from Paillard but my croissant was really dry. The Suisse is really basic. Sadly I will avoid this "bakery" next time I visit Quebec.
The croissants were very buttery (bordering on too much) & the macarons had little to no texture or flavor.
We got the Paris-Brest & Nutella cookie. The Paris-Brest filling was hard, almost frozen (but not because it was frozen). The cookie was ok. The restroom was one of the smelliest I've been in a long time.
A MUST go while in Quebec city. I had gone back to this place three or four times while I was visiting. Must try the pistachio cookie. Everything else we ordered was great, croissants, eclairs, etc. Expect longer lines & would recommend grabbing coffee at a different place.
Just so so.. the pastry didn't seem fresh or any good & my friend who tried it said it was just ok. I didn't to eat as as they looked stale 😝
All pastries & croissants look amazing, had a cappuccino to enjoy with my butter croissant, highly recommend it. Service was fast & efficient/friendly. It is expensive, but your also buying great croissants. Came out of town had to try them again, bring a canvas bag if your taking out a paper bag is $3.30!
