Place Dufferin offers a memorable dining experience characterized by its iconic location and stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and Dufferin Terrace. Many guests praise the impeccable, friendly service and the vast variety offered at the breakfast buffet, which serves as a highlight for families and visitors alike. While opinions on the food quality range from outstanding to average, the afternoon tea and breakfast selections are frequently recommended for those seeking an elegant atmosphere. Tea Time at the Fairmont was a delightful experience! Make your reservations!

I tried the afternoon tea service here over the weekend & it was lovely. The staff are super friendly. We arrived earlier than our reservation & they were able to fit us in earlier as well. The french macaron was a little dry & some items weren't to my tastes, but overall the service & food assortment was great. My favourite item was the scone & the raspberry blackcurrant spread for it. I was actually quite full & couldn't finish all of the sweets. Our table was right next to the window & had a beautiful view of the city line across the river. I would definitely recommend trying it out at least once.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve afternoon tea here. Booked & paid for in advance (back in September) the experience was excellent, delicious food, interesting tea & gracious service. Highly recommended.

Overall, I'm glad that we did this, but I wouldn't do it again. The tea was beautiful. The room & lighting & piano music & the presentation of the food were all pitch perfect. Also, the staff were wonderful.

The food, itself, ranged from okay to good with two exceptions. There was a biscuit/scone that was amazing with clotted cream, orange marmalade & raspberry jam. It was to die for. & the then there was a profiterole with a chocolate cream & caramel. It was truly exceptional. Everything else was very average.

In summary, fun experience & ambience. Average food.

Overrated probably. Food wasn't that good at the hi tea.
Some of the pastries we got were different from what others were served. Been to many fairmonts but this was a disappointment..probably not a good chef for the hi tea sandwiches & food.

High tea was disappointing. Food was not fresh. Unacceptable for the price! Server was adamant that we could not earn Accor points just for eating at the restaurant despite a clear ad in the menu stating the opposite. Felt like a tourist trap. Not what you can expect for a Fairmont property.

Beautiful afternoon tea with a delicious selection of pastries & a wide variety of tea. Atmosphere was calm with a lovely piano player offering background music.

Afternoon tea with 6 of us was a highlight of our short time in Quebec City. All details were excellent from the china, tea selections, savory & sweet delicacies & very good service.

We were so lucky to be able to get a table for high tea at this lovely location! There was a cancelation, & Miguel was able to give us a table in the room overlooking the terrace. There was a wonderful pianist with live music. The tasty bites on all of the courses were delectable! I had the cream Earl gray tea, which is a specialty of the restaurant. I wasn't sure when our waitress said there were hints of maple also in the flavor. It turned out to be so creamy & delicious! I ended up buying some at the store in the hotel. Our waitress was so personable & took time to talk with us & tell us about life in Quebec. This was a not to be missed experience!

We had Afternoon Tea here, it was great. It's a pricy endeavour but the experience was fun. The tea items are small, but everyone left full. They were all excellent, the highlights were the scones & the duck confit sliders.
