KASEH kebab exceeded expectations! Each kebab brought unique flavor, & grilled tomatoes were a nice addition. Saffron rice was fluffy, & portion was generous. Presentation was great, & flavors were well-balanced. Highly recommend trying it.
Best kebab in town! Spices were on point, & smashed walnut added crunch. Pomegranate sauce was tangy & delicious. Saffron rice complemented the veal perfectly. Highly recommend trying kebab TORSH! Will impress foodies & casual diners alike.
This is my third time at Shiraz. Whenever I have a business trip to Quebec city, I have to stop by & try their dinner. Generous, delicious, healthy, & so fulfilling. Their meats are so juicy & decadent. I would only suggest putting more spices on the rice, & perhaps improving the accompanying salad.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Shiraz Restaurant in Quebec City, & it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm & inviting atmosphere set the tone for an authentic Persian dining experience.
The food was exceptional - fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. We tried several dishes, including the joojeh kebab, ghormeh sabzi, & zereshk polo, & each one was delicious & true to its traditional roots. The rice was perfectly cooked & fragrant, & the meat was tender & juicy with just the right seasoning.
The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, & happy to explain the menu & make recommendations. It really felt like they cared about making our experience special.
If you're looking for a unique cultural dining experience in Quebec City with great food & warm hospitality, Shiraz Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
Dining at Shiraz restaurant was a truly unforgettable experience. From the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable service, every detail was thoughtfully executed. The dishes were rich in authentic flavor-perfectly seasoned kebabs, fragrant saffron rice, & melt-in-your-mouth stews that tasted just like home-cooked meals from Iran.
The quality of ingredients & care in preparation were evident in every bite. The freshly baked bread & traditional appetizers like mast-o-khiar & kashk-e-bademjan were simply outstanding. To top it all off, the Persian tea & desserts like baklava & saffron ice cream were the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
If you're looking for genuine Persian hospitality & a culinary journey through Iran, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
The food was top-notch - we ordered kebabs, & they were perfectly cooked, juicy, & full of flavor. The rice that came with it was delicious & very well-prepared. Everything was clean & well-presented, & the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Best of all, the prices were affordable & very reasonable for the quality we received. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, tasty food!
Let's start with the atmosphere that is very welcoming. The service was great, & the experience was very relaxing. I did not feel rushed to order or finish my food. Started with a tasty soup & continued with Soltani. The rice is always cooked to perfection. I should be honest, I liked the tahdig last time better but it was still good. Must try it for yourself.
Based on the photo, the food looks absolutely mouthwatering. Gourmet. Five-star food, right? Congrats on falling into the trap! 😄
Let me keep it short & savage: this is culinary CATFISHING at its finest. DO NOT trust the 5-star reviews AT ALL!! I'm convinced most of them are bots or fake accounts. If you've already walked in: do yourself a favour: save your appetite, turn around, & leave while your dignity is still intact!!
I came in full of hope, trusting the high ratings & those appetizing pictures, but oh boy was I foolish. An empty restaurant at dinner time should have been red flag #1. & not a single person even acknowledged me when I walked in! Anyways hungry & tired as I was, ordered & waited a painfully long 20 minutes for the food to finally arrive.
The presentation was ok, until it touched my tongue. Good lord. The rice was piping hot, but the taste? Yikes. Yellow in colour, promising in appearance, but absolutely DEVOID of taste. Felt like it was half-cooked & reheated by microwave. The meat was slightly better, but nothing to write home about. For the price & the way the food was hyped by the owner/server, it was still far from good, & frankly, underwhelming.
& the comedy didn't stop there. A few more poor souls walked in as I was eating, & I watched them stand around for 5+ minutes in this ghost town of a restaurant, desperately trying to get someone's attention. When they finally got their food? The looks on their faces were priceless - deep, silent regret. One guy even whispered,'We shouldn't have come here.'
I felt that.
Damn. Divided by nations, united by disappointment. Honestly, I wanted to high-five them in solidarity.
So if you're considering this place because the food'looks good' in the photos: don't. It's a place where flavour goes to die, & common sense should've walked out 10 minutes earlier.
& last but not least - the owner can keep the excuses & half-hearted apologies. This is the first time a meal left me not just disappoint me, it humiliated me by making me question how I ever thought my IQ could survive this level of food deception 😃😃😃
