Sushi Kumi serves an extensive selection of Japanese culinary staples centered on precision and raw ingredient quality. The menu highlights traditional nigiri, maki rolls, and sashimi prepared with fresh seafood sourced for optimal texture and flavor profile. Patrons encounter a methodical approach to Asian fusion elements that emphasizes clean plating and consistent preparation standards. Skilled artisans assemble bite-sized pieces with a focus on structural balance between vinegared rice and marine proteins. The surrounding environment maintains a minimalist aesthetic that facilitates a direct focus on the components of each served dish. This establishment relies on high-volume efficiency to deliver complex rolls and raw fish platters that align with established expectations for contemporary sushi preparation. The resulting experience centers on the technical execution of classic recipes.
Sushi Kumi is widely recognized as a popular destination in Quebec for all-you-can-eat dining, frequently praised for its fast and efficient service, fresh sushi, and a diverse menu that extends beyond raw fish to include flavorful hot dishes. Many guests appreciate the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and consistent quality, making it a go-to choice for groups and special occasions, though the popularity of the establishment necessitates booking well in advance as reservations can be difficult to secure. While the vast majority of diners enjoy their experience and find the pricing reasonable for the variety offered, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality or temperature, and others express frustration with strict dining time limits and occasional unprofessional behavior regarding tips or service interactions. Overall, the establishment remains a highly recommended favorite for those seeking an organized, quick, and varied Japanese dining experience.

I was told by a lot of people to try this place for sushi. & I wanted to love it but it was OK. I'm from Toronto so it is hard to beat really good sushi. PROS: the designs/interior decorations are really nice! Very cool. -service was good. Fast & efficient -there were some dishes that stood out: Salt & pepper squid Saumon flambé, thon flambé kimchi, kamikaze, spécial kumi CONS: -No wasabi/ginger that comes with the sushi (It's the first time I've seen That) ***nvm, you have to ask for them in order to avoid wasting too much but it's free) -A lot of the sushi rolls are more saucy ( sweet sauce, spicy mayo) I'm more of a simple sushi girl & even their sashimi was OK. -Shrimp tempura didn't come with the usual ponzu sauce but spicy mayo again. -it was more catered to a western taste (more sauces on top of sushi) which is not a bad thing for some people but not for me. Also, DONT FORGET TO MAKE A RESERVATION.
Kumi is an all-you-can-eat (ayce) Japanese restaurant. Weekend cost is $37.99 per adult, while weekday cost is $34.99. There are about 60 items to choose from. The categories are: 1. Appetizer (edamame, seaweed salad) 2. Nigiri 3. Sushi 4. Rolls (dragon) 5. Mini poke bowls 6. Tartare 7. Sashimi 8. Fried food 9. Cooked noodle or fried rice 10. Dessert The sashimi choices include salmon, tuna, pollick, egg & octopus. Each slice is very thin & narrow. We tried the teriyaki chicken noodle which was heavily marinated in soy sauce. The service was top-notch, attentive, & quick. We received our food within 10 minutes of our order. We finished our dinner within 1 hour. PS - if you don't finish all your sushi or sashimi pieces, they would charge you $2 for each unconsummed piece.
The service at this restaurant is quite nice & felt very inviting. The surroundings though feel a bit tacky & mid 2000s. This is there the good news ends. So this place is an All You Can Eat sushi place. I typically go to these places so that I don't feel pressured to eat everything I am served. However, since this place will charge you for not finishing, feels pressuring to say the least. The sushi is as unauthentic as you can get. The nigiri is almost 80% rice when the ratio should be closer to 40% rice to 60% fish. I have had better sushi at a conveyer belt than this place. The skill of the chef is also pretty bad with the fish being torn apart which is the result of using very dull knives to hack away at the meat. Yall run a professional restaurant & having sharp knives & properly trained staff is the least you can do
