Food was good quality, friendly staff. Was really busy & it was a bit overstimulating, but overall I'd go again if I'm in Quebec. Cuisse de canard, pizzas & burgers were all good portion size & desserts were nice.

The food is on the expensive side & the portion size is also smaller than expected . But the taste is good . We ordered a veg pizza & cake . The ambience is nice . The service was good.

We're visiting from Florida, & Bistro 1640 was one of the highlights of our trip to Old Québec! 🇺🇸➡?🇨🇦

From the moment we arrived, the host & wait staff welcomed us with a smile & made us feel at home. On a 34°C summer day, Rosalie immediately brought us ice-cold water 🥤❄?, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The Maraîchère Pizza was absolutely incredible-fresh, flavorful, perfectly cooked, & easily one of the best pizzas we've ever had. 🍕❤?

If you're looking for the best pizza in Québec City, outstanding service, & a welcoming restaurant in Old Québec, Bistro 1640 is a must-visit. 5 stars to Rosalie & the entire team! We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Québec City. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What can I say? This place has absolutely incredible food! ❤?
The beef jowl is unlike anything I've ever had-definitely not your average beef stew! The pasta that came with it was just as flavorful. The pizza? Executed perfectly, with wonderfully stretchy cheese & fresh veggies. The escargot was rich, buttery, & delicious. To top it all off, the complimentary crème brûlée from their current promotion was the cherry on top, & the portion sizes are huge! The prices are very reasonable, & the service is incredibly warm & welcoming.

Honnêtement, certaines personnes sont clairement mieux traitées que d'autres dans ce resto. J'avais pourtant réservé, mais on m'a collé à côté de la porte comme si c'était normal.
2 minutes après avoir commandé, on demande gentiment si la pizza contient des noix (mon copain est allergique), & là… la serveuse a changé de visage direct 😒
Elle revient en disant qu'il peut y en avoir un peu, & balance : « Fallait demander avant de commander. » Sérieusement ? Après ça, service glacial du début à la fin. On demande 2 assiettes & jamais vues. Par contre, quand vient le moment du pourboire, miracle : elle se met à sourire 🙃
& pendant ce temps, elle papote & rigole avec d'autres clients, pendant qu'on était complètement ignorés.
0 respect, 0 professionnalisme. & le pire ? La bouffe, la pizza baignait littéralement dans l'eau, & le canard n'avait absolument aucun goût. Même les plats surgelés du supermarché sont meilleurs.
On laisse toujours du pourboire d'habitude, mais là franchement, pas un centime.
Je ne paie pas pour être mal servie & mal nourrie

Had dinner at 1640 Bistro & loved it! The duck leg with pasta was fragrant & delicious, the steak tartare was great, & the pizza-highly recommended by the staff-was amazing. The crust was flavorful & chewy, really stood out. Definitely a must-try if you're in town!
