Une excellente expérience au Bistro 1640 ! Tout était absolument délicieux, de la soupe au tartare, chaque plat était savoureux & vraiment bien préparé. 🤩

Le service était incroyable : attentionné, chaleureux & professionnel. L'ambiance était également parfaite, très agréable & conviviale. & le choix de la musique était vraiment excellent, ça ajoutait une super touche à l'expérience ! 🎶

On a passé un très beau moment du début à la fin. Je recommande vraiment le Bistro 1640, tout était délicieux & l'expérience était parfaite. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter !

Visited late evening for appetizers. French onion soup lacked flavor & onions. Escargots bland. Nice out door seating & atmosphere.

Delicious food, excellent service, lively but quaint atmosphere. French onion soup was phenomenal. Kids enjoyed their burgers. Ceasar salad was perfection. Nothing bad to say. One bathroom was closed but they have another area of bathrooms we could use. Servers were so friendly & accommodating. This restaurant has so much space.... more than meets the eye. Several nooks & seating areas for any number of guests in your party.

I will be short - the most delicious food in the old town. The French onion soup is the best. The entire menue is a Chefd'oeuvre of the culinary.

Had one of the smoothest tomato soups I've tried, but the toast points came a bit late & after the soup was finished. First bite of the salmon was great & had amazing flavour, but I did encounter a couple of bones I wasn't expecting. Scalloped potatoes were a bit dry & alright, but nicely presented. dessert was the highlight & came with a decorative candied molasses accent. Only wish there was more cake in the serving.

Restaurant was well decorated with two different theme variations indoor. Lots of seating outdoors with overhead shade, & a great street view of the Frontenac. Staff looked relatively young & felt a bit inexperienced, but we're still professional & friendly.

Would go again next time I'm in town.

Very professional & welcoming staff:
We stopped for having light lunch (onion soup & poutine). Both were tasty & flavorful. Then had chocolate royal & sweet wine (from Quebec). Very nice way to end the meal.

D'abord, un agréable accueil & un service remarquable d'Alexandra! Attentionnée tout au long du repas. Soupe a l'oignon, joue de boeuf & dessert: tous savoureux, belle présentation, bonne portion. L'ambiance était chaleureuse, amicale & respectueuse. Bref, pour un repas mémorable dans un décor unique ! Je recommande 👌

We had three different servers which is not an issue the first one was cold. After seating he came back leaving the menus without a word. The service was not the highlight but the food was delicious. Tartare, French onion soup & the smoked meat sandwich was our highlights.
