Had a FANTASTIC breakfast at Bistro 1640 today. Amazing food! Highly recommend it for breakfast, or dinner. Worth a wait in line.

The food was great. Hat's off to Chef. Loved ever bite of it.
The smashed Burger was crispy & same time juicy. Beautify served.
The smoke beef sandwich speaks itself.. No words needed, a MUST try.
The service waiter was ok. Not sure what he was thinking. He was serving everyone else other than me & my daughter. Didn't like that.
The lady who brought us to the table was super friendly though.

Wow, juste wow!!! Ce restaurant vaut le détour! Une carte incroyable . Tout ce que nous avons pris est vraiment réussi & nous y retourneront avec plaisir . Quels chefs! La poutine au canard en entrée & les pâtes au fruits de mer sont a se rouler par terre. Aussi la terrasse est très agréable l'été. Un merci particulier a notre serveur très sympathique .

I was told this restaurant is a must try in Old Quebec. We made reservations for dinner. Still we needed to wait. But it's understandable because it's very touristy area. What the disappointment was that the service people weren't friendly at all, that really discounted the atmosphere!
A reminder; the washrooms are located upstairs with 2 flights of stairs

I had steak & duck confit here.
The duck confit is absolutely amazing, & steak is good too.
But the fries didn't get fried well, & the pasta is not salty enough.

Really enjoyed the food & patio atmosphere. There was some musicians on the street that added to the atmosphere & the French onion soup & Créame brûlée were unbelievably good.

Great place to grab a hearty brunch any day of the week. Service is quick, coffee is strong & food is seriously delicious. The French toast is exactly what I think french toast should be & the eggs Benedict have plenty of hollandaise. Also the apple churros are tiny miracles.
