Service was really bad - extremely slow, he'd come back because he didn't remember what we ordered (why not just write it down) & then still wouldn't come back with the Diet Pepsi. Then we had a girl waitress who just dropped off cocktails & we never saw her again.

Then we had a third waiter. No one said they were switching shifts or anything so it was very confusing.

Food & drinks were great. We wanted dessert too but didn't want to keep waiting longer.

In a rush & asked for a coffee & toast. Waitress pointed at $21 yogurt & granola on the menu & then rudely walked off.

I can only assume your food is as good as your service. I guess I'll never know.

We ended up at Bistro 1640 one night during our 20th anniversary trip, & loved it so much that we went back the next night with our entire family! The service was friendly & accommodating. The atmosphere is great because you can sit on the outdoor patio & people watch while listening to the talented street performers! I loved the chicken caesar salad, the burrata tomato salad, the pasta dishes, & the burgers! My son & I both agreed that they have the best burger we've ever had - & we've had a LOT of burgers. ha! Oh! & I had the tastiest lemonade I've ever had in my life. It was their housemate fruit lemonade & came with a gooseberry on top. I can't even describe how heavenly this tasted & smelled. My entire family was envious. I can't recommend this place enough!! It's a must!

Had one of the smoothest tomato soups I've tried, but the toast points came a bit late & after the soup was finished. First bite of the salmon was great & had amazing flavour, but I did encounter a couple of bones I wasn't expecting. Scalloped potatoes were a bit dry & alright, but nicely presented. dessert was the highlight & came with a decorative candied molasses accent. Only wish there was more cake in the serving.

Restaurant was well decorated with two different theme variations indoor. Lots of seating outdoors with overhead shade, & a great street view of the Frontenac. Staff looked relatively young & felt a bit inexperienced, but we're still professional & friendly.

Would go again next time I'm in town.

The food was very very yummy but some of the staff were not friendly. My friend lost her sunglasses & we were trying to call to ask them to check but without checking, they told us no it's not there & hung up when I started asking something else. I was quite upset & disappointed with that because the experience we had that night was not a bad one.

Le service était très décevant. Le serveur parlait à ses copains dans la rue pendant le paiement. Aucun retour suite au service des plats. Commentaire désobligeant du serveur face a notre appétit à 2 reprise...

La planche de charcuterie était excellente, cependant le canard a l'orange ne goûtait nullement l'orange. La sangria avait des « grumeaux » & goût médiocre.

Étant dans le domaine de la restauration, je m'attend à mieux. Particulièrement du côté du service qui a de grandes lacunes dans un établissement de la sorte.

We stopped here after riding the Hop on/ Hop off bus visiting the downtown area. Great food & fun vibes. Highly recommend you visit this place when visiting the area.
