Review Summary

Au Petit Coin Breton is widely celebrated as a charming and quintessential Quebec City destination for breakfast and brunch. Many patrons praise the restaurant for its authentic atmosphere, delicious savoury and sweet crepes, and signature French onion soup, frequently noting the generous portions and high quality of ingredients. While the majority of visitors highlight the warm, attentive, and professional service provided by the staff, experiences can vary regarding wait times and pacing during peak hours. Although some reviewers debate the traditional authenticity of the recipes compared to those from France, the consensus remains that the establishment offers a memorable culinary experience, with numerous guests returning repeatedly for the cozy environment, tasty food, and overall value.

Not sure what the hype is about… we came here for breakfast & had a savoury crepe. The filling inside was great, but the crepe tasted like pancake batter that you can buy in the store. Super surprised & disappointed. Coffee also bland. Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from. For the price would not recommend.

We have visited twice for breakfast while in Quebec City, & it has been, by far, our favourite. Highly recommend.

Fond musical : Sardou & Johnny... Service sympathique & professionnel. Bref, passez votre route.

I'm originally from Quebec city. .My first time there was in the 70s. Food was great & the traditional crêpes bretonnes from France was the same. Not anyone. I was there on vacation on June 25. The crêpe lacked the brown crispy texture. The interior decoration hasn't changed in 50 years. The service is slow & the prices not worth a regular crêpe. The chain used to have 2 other locations & both closed. This one is still opened because it is located in a tourist area. Outsiders don't really know what a real crêpe bretonne should be.

Outstanding breakfast. Wish I had dined here during my 3 day visit. Cappuccino made w care delivered w 1 inch foam top. Omelet was more like a fritatta covered in spinach & cheese (gruyere?). Crunchy outside, soft inside potatoes. Only regret is that I should have eaten the crepe while it was hot, yet it was a sweet end to a meal that was too large to finish.
