HORRIBLE EXPÉRIENCE ! Je demande un steak vieilli 45 jours médium saignant, mon fils également = arrive bleu ! On retourne nos steaks, il revient avec une cuisson plus médium. Aucune tendreté, aucun goût de noisettes, pas de saveurs!
On le dit à la serveuse de vérifier si les cuisinier ne se sont pas trompé de sorte de steak = elle nous dit que non, pis que c'est comme ça dans leur resto ! Clairement, des cuisinier incompétents! J'ai mangé plusieurs fois du steak vieilli & ca rien à voir avec ce que j'ai reçu ! A 74$ l'assiette, je trouve ça honteux ! PUS JAMAIS ! ÉVITER LE CHARBON ! JE PASSE LE MESSAGE À MES AMIS !

Nous avons passé vraiment une belle soirée, hier le 2 janvier 2026 au Charbon Steakhouse à la Gare du Palais, …& que nous avons bien l'intention de revivre dans votre restaurant à la première occasion. Nous étions neuf personnes, & les commentaires exprimés par chacun & chacune manifestent clairement une appréciation positive & unanime. Entre autres, la variété & l'excellence des cocktails, des mets, des desserts & des vins font partie du vrai plaisir d'être convives dans vos installations. Nous tenons également à souligner la compétence du service aux tables: professionnel, courtois, efficace & attentionné.
La viande n'a rien d'exceptionnel &, pour un steakhouse, c'est problématique. La cuisson manque clairement de rigueur : demander bien cuit & recevoir saignant, ce n'est pas un détail à ce niveau de prix. Le gratin dauphinois facturé 6 $ en extra n'aide pas le dossier : goût fade, texture industrielle, très probablement du surgelé. On paie le concept, pas l'exécution.

Really enjoyed our evening in Charbon. Food & service were very good.
One star off because they do not have their own toilets, you have to leave the restaurant & use the ones in the station. A bit weird for a supposed high end steakhouse.
I don't often go to steakhouses or go all out in one at all but my partner & I decided to book this steakhouse in advanced as we've read & seen all the reviews about
We went on a Wednesday night & it was not busy at all I don't think booking was necessary for that time
As for the steaks, all their cuts are in such quality & cuts were thick we were left full even before dessert menu came around
As with any steak houses or fine dining joints; expect to spend at least 40-50 on the steak alone but rest assured the quality & cut of the steak justifies the price
Malheureusement, notre expérience a été décevante. Nous avions tous demandé nos steaks saignants, mais ils sont arrivés très cuits. La pomme de terre au four était pâteuse & froide. Pour 145 $, c'est très loin du rapport qualité-prix auquel on s'attendait.
Quite expensive, but everybody in our group loved their orders. Staff are very friendly & soak English with no issue. All steaks are grilled on charcoal, so there is a layer of smock in the atmosphere all the time, in case you're sensitive. There are outdoor sitting too by the way.
