Really enjoyed our evening in Charbon. Food & service were very good.
One star off because they do not have their own toilets, you have to leave the restaurant & use the ones in the station. A bit weird for a supposed high end steakhouse.

I don't often go to steakhouses or go all out in one at all but my partner & I decided to book this steakhouse in advanced as we've read & seen all the reviews about

We went on a Wednesday night & it was not busy at all I don't think booking was necessary for that time

As for the steaks, all their cuts are in such quality & cuts were thick we were left full even before dessert menu came around

As with any steak houses or fine dining joints; expect to spend at least 40-50 on the steak alone but rest assured the quality & cut of the steak justifies the price

Malheureusement, notre expérience a été décevante. Nous avions tous demandé nos steaks saignants, mais ils sont arrivés très cuits. La pomme de terre au four était pâteuse & froide. Pour 145 $, c'est très loin du rapport qualité-prix auquel on s'attendait.

Quite expensive, but everybody in our group loved their orders. Staff are very friendly & soak English with no issue. All steaks are grilled on charcoal, so there is a layer of smock in the atmosphere all the time, in case you're sensitive. There are outdoor sitting too by the way.

Le.meilleur tartare de boeuf en ville !!! Pour un steak aussi c'est excellent !! & ne ratez pas la tarte à l'érable tout simplement exquise !!!

Steak de cote; cup de sauce bien assis dans la lichette de purée, difficile de récupérer la purée 3/4 dessous le cup de sauce, beaucoup de nerf, os non complet, 2 bout d'os, cuisson demandé, medium saignant, reçu medium bien cuit.
Frites allumette commercial ( frites du mcdo) déjà froide a l'arrivée de l'assiette

Calmar firt, beaucoup beaucoup de restant de friture tempura dans l'assiette, présentation 2/10,

Cheese burger pour enfants, Pain ( brulé) fromage & viande. 0 condiments mis a part un cup de ketchup.

Service; un gros 2 sur 5
serveur d'une certaine age front dégoutant de sueur trop pressé pour écouter les demande de brevges.
Service ultra lent 45 min recevoir l'entrée, encore une bonne heure pour le repas principal.
1 entrée & un repas sans café ou dessert, calculer un bon 2h30

Température assiettes, enfants reçu assiette brulantes,
adultes 1 assiette sur 2 n'etais pas chaude

Ambiance encore un gros 2 sur 5
serveurs & serveuse débordé & en sueur, donc cela met un certain stress dans l'ambiance, un client a recu un vers sur la tête (serveuse qui s échapper ver dans les escalier ) & des éclaboussure de vitre & de liquide sur lui, s table & banquette.

Pour la fourchette de prix & la réputation, je ne recommande vraiment pas.

The steakhouse experience was the one I had most looked forward to, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. We were surprised & frustrated to learn that they refused to accept AMEX, & to make matters worse, their payment terminal also rejected my debit card. I had to leave & go to the ATM to withdraw cash to make the payment. If a business chooses to be rigid about payment methods & doesn't accommodate overseas cards, the least they can do is inform customers at the time of booking. Had I known in advance, I would have gladly chosen another restaurant.
