Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux chez Chez Boulay le 15 juin 2025. En tant que touristes venus de Toronto, nous avons été ravis de découvrir une cuisine exceptionnelle - autant le plat de viande que l'option végétarienne étaient parfaitement préparés & savoureux. Le service était irréprochable du début à la fin : attentif sans être envahissant, & vraiment chaleureux.

Mention spéciale pour l'accueil réservé à notre petite fille - le personnel l'a traitée avec beaucoup de gentillesse & nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus en famille, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans un restaurant de cette qualité.

Il faut aussi souligner l'excellent rapport qualité-prix, surtout comparé à des restaurants équivalents à Toronto. Nous sommes repartis avec le sentiment que chaque dollar en valait la peine. Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement.

We had a wonderful experience at Chez Boulay on June 15, 2025. As tourists from Toronto, we were delighted to discover such outstanding food - both the meat & vegetarian dishes were beautifully prepared & full of flavour. The service was excellent from start to finish: attentive without being intrusive, & genuinely warm.

A special mention for how kindly they treated our toddler daughter - they made us feel welcome as a family, which isn't always a given at a restaurant of this calibre.

The value for money was remarkable compared to similar dining in Toronto. We left feeling that every dollar was well spent. Highly recommended.

C'est un passage obligé à chaque visite à Québec. Pour nous, l'expérience au bar ajoute une touche unique à notre séjour. Great experience not to be missed while in Quebec City. The halibut & crème brute were outstanding. Was hoping for a more rustic location so gave one less star.

Exquisitely presented food. Exceptional service especially enjoyed Melanie.
I prepare Halibut off the boat in Maine. A little olive oil & lemon juice w fresh ground pepper. It is the filet mignon of the Sea. My spouse ordered the Halibut. Nicely plated. However the sauce was not quite right...& a bit too much. W Halibut simple & a bit under done letting it sit before eating is best.
That said. Happy I tried beef cheeks. But cut back on the sauce. Let the polenta have its day.
Having had Sea Buckthorn in Denmark 2 weeks ago, it was a pleasure to taste the Sea Buckthorn pie.
Melanie added flavor to our meal.
PS Just put the bread in a small wood bowl. & start using cloth napkins. Even i don't use paper anymore.

5 étoiles, rien à dire, service incroyable, mention spéciale au serveur, accent français du sud, fan du psg. Maitrise son travail, avec le sourire & une attitude positive. J'ai invité des collègues à diner & ils ont aimé aussi.

I had the braised beef cheek. It's so tender that it melted in my mouth! The service was excellent! Milan, our server was very efficient & fun! I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec! It's Michelin recommend led for 2025. I won't be surprised if it gets awarded a Michelin star…
