Was described to me as the place to get ramen in Quebec city, & did not disappoint.
Great atmosphere, quiet atmosphere with smooth jazz playing lightly in the background. Suitable for pleasant conversation with no struggling to hear. Staff were not overbearing & met all expectations.
The Tonkotsu soup was amazing & highly recommended. Also pictured are the vegetarian Tofu Ramen, & Gyoza (dumplings). Unpictured we also tried the Kagaare chicken & Yakitori chicken. All very good.
A very pleasant experience & very reasonably priced as well. Under $20 for a main course is comparable price to fast-food places. So no hesitation saying that this is 5 stars for the price bracket.
Been wanting to go here for a while. The atmosphere was good at first. Everything was clean, tidy & gives off the ramen atmosphere you'd expect. The only thing I was disappointed was the smell in the bathroom. I felt that it had not been cleaned for hours.
The service speed was alright. We did not have to wait that long to be served. The food came in not that long after we ordered. The beef skewers (i forgot what this was actually called) was super good & flavorful.
The ramen though was really lacking freshness. The flavor was good but it doesn't really stand out for me. The chicken was a bit tough & bland as well.
Price to service/food quality I think for me was not worth it. Might go back again for their appetizers but not really for the ramen.
I was looking for a ramen & had a go on Chika. The kimchi was delicious but spicy (I love it but some people don't)
I had the pork broth with chicken ramen. It was a generous portion. The broth was tasty & the egg delicious.
We tried Tonkosu Ramen, the broth was very tasty & hot. We also had a side of Japanese fried chicken which was very delicious.
The service was excellent & very friendly
service quick, sushi perfect, generous portions, takoyaki fresh, the don karaage just delicious, but the stars of the show had to be the ramen soups. the por shoyu & ramen with fried chicken....just satisfying with every bite
Probably the only place you can walk-in on Christmas Eve! The food was great, ramen was very well balanced, good flavour! Vegetables, big portion! Fried chicken was good too. The servers are really nice! We got complementary mochis for Christmas Eve. Recommend!!
The ramen soups & takoyaki were pretty good! The chicken karaage was not very crispy though, felt soggier than it should be.
Quick service. Sushi menu price is fair. Place feels like in Japan. Got the kalbi with rice & chicken bao buns. The kalbi tasted right, but the bao buns was kind of tough to bite on. Overall, I still recommend going there & just get the kalbi with rice which is enough & cheaper than ramen bowl.
Me & a group were on a business trip to Quebec & we were craving soup. Our initial idea was pho but all the Vietnamese restaurants were either closed or not open late enough for us. So we opted for ramen! The restaurant's vibes & interior was a fusion of modern club-like aesthetic & Japanese decor. The automated lucky cat & ramen display was cool at the store front. Interior is spacious & we got to choose anywhere to sit. The food came out quick & most of what we ordered was tasty. For the appetizers, the kimchi was a bit too sweet for my liking; perhaps it was not fermented long enough. Warning with the kimchi, it was too spicy for my colleagues but I thought it was fine as I'm normally used to eating spicy food. We ordered the edamame & the seasoning they put in that numbs your mouth after eatting it for awhile. I think they use peppercorn or something. I have never had edamame numb my mouth before. With the main dishes, all the ramen tasted pretty generic. One of my colleagues had dietary restrictions & they were able to accommodate her & take certain ingredients out. If you order the duck ramen, the meat is sweet almost as if they used marinated duck meat. I felt it didn't go well with the rest of the soup taste. I also ordered a ramen combo that came with a chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet was left a little too long in the deep fryer but regardless it still tasted good, just extra crunchy! We shared a L'arc en ciel roll aka rainbow roll. This one was alright, not the most outstanding taste. The okonomiyaki & salmon nigiri were really tasty. I'd recommend those as you can't go wrong. The service was a bit slow. The restaurant at night looked like it was run by young teens & I stared for a good 5 min watching the young waitress scrolling through her phone. Our table also ran out of water & I again had to wave her down & get her attention. I think if I were to come here again, I would stick with the sushi & nigiri next time. Some of the appetizers are a hit or miss but would be interesting to try the other stuff on their menu. Still, it's a great restaurant for late night eats & decent price if you don't mind the slow service.
Good portion of ramen. The broth was very good. Top tier. The pork was a bit low quality. I would be ok if they cut the pork a bit more thinly & have less portion & provide higher quality meat. Also had the Chicken Karaage & it was very good.
