On nous a informé que l'équipe en cuisine était un peu débordé & en retard dans les commandes. Mais entre'être en retard' &'clairement PAS assez de staff en cuisine', y a des limites. Nous sommes arrivés à 12:15 & avons été servis à 13:15.
Le service (staff en salle à manger) était adéquat. La nourriture était bien. Tous ont semblé satisfait de leurs assiettes. La nourriture était chaude & la texture laissait croire que tout avait été servi rapidement & non reposé sous un réchaud.
Mais les délais sont inacceptables. Un dimanche ensoleillé de juillet, sur la portion pietonnière de la 3e ave, vous devriez vous assurer d'avoir le staff le plus compétent en cuisine & en nombre suffisant.
Petit baume : les 2 milkshakes commandés nous ont été offerts gratuitement pour s'excuser des délais.

We were informed that the kitchen team was running a bit behind on orders. However, there's a big difference between'running late' & being clearly understaffed in the kitchen.
We arrived at 12:15 p.m. & were not served until 1:15 p.m.
The service from the dining room staff was adequate. The food was good, & everyone seemed satisfied with their meals. The dishes were served hot, & the texture suggested that everything had been prepared fresh rather than sitting under a heat lamp.
That said, the wait times were unacceptable. On a sunny Sunday in July, located on the pedestrian section of 3rd Avenue, you should make sure you have a sufficiently skilled & adequately staffed kitchen team.
One small positive: the two milkshakes we ordered were offered free of charge as an apology for the delay.

Restaurant familial où on s'y sent bien. Nous y avons pris un brunch, les oeufs bénédictine, bien que classiques, étaient vraiment bons. Service efficace & rapide.
La nourriture était moins bonne qu'à l'habitude. Pour ma part, j'avais pris un bénédictine aux champignons & il y avait un goût de brûlé. La personne qui m'accompagnait, a pris un bénédictine au canard & l'a trouvé ordinaire. C'est la première fois que ça nous arrivait, car depuis le temps que nous y allons, nous avons toujours été enchantées. Quant au service, je n'étais pas encore assise que la serveuse apportait déjà les petites coupes de yaourt. C'est bien quand le service est rapide, mais là c'était un peu trop. Côté atmosphère, nous avons remarqué qu'il y avait moins de monde qu'à l'habitude.
J'adorais ce restaurant! Mais depuis quelques mois, la qualité du service a diminué drastiquement. Le service se calcule maintenant en heures (même pour les breuvages). Je croyais que c'était des mauvaises journées, mais c'est la 3e fois que cela arrive. C'est très décevant parce que la nourriture est super... Régler ce problème & je reviendrai rapidement!
J'aimais beaucoup ce restaurant pour ses déjeuners, surtout pour les oeufs bénédictine que je considérais parmi les meilleurs en ville. Malheureusement, mes trois dernières visites ont été décevantes. J'ai voulu croire à une mauvaise journée, mais après trois tentatives, je suis convaincue que la qualité n'est plus au rendez-vous. Les oeufs étaient trop cuits, les assiettes tièdes, moins garnies, & le service extrêmement long. La dernière fois, j'ai même opté pour un café filtre, pensant que ce serait plus rapide qu'un latte, mais j'ai quand même attendu environ 30 minutes pour le recevoir, après que mon conjoint ait été servi son latte... Bref, ce restaurant n'est plus dans mes choix. Dommage, car il était excellent auparavant.
