Very pleasant restaurant. Strong bold flavors in tasting menu. Not heavy but a solid tasty meal. Some very interesting/different dishes. Pastry chef also made exceptional dessert
It takes a special kind of arrogance for the chef/owner to charge $18+ for essentially 2 tablespoons of food per serving.The portion sizes were ridiculously small, including the wine pour ($15+ for less than 2 oz.) I understand that there is a tasting menu option ($110 per person for 7 courses + $90 for wine pairing per person), which we did not order. We ordered a la carte, but the portion sizes were the same as the tasting menu - in other words tiny! We actually laughed when they brought our plates. We had to pay $8 extra dollars to get an extra scallop. While the food was good, it certainly did not warrant 5 stars in light of the portion sizes. When we go out to eat, we do so to fill our bellies. This did not even come close. It would be very expensive to bring a large group to this restaurant. I was not even going to review, because I grew up with the adage'If you don't have anything nice to say …', but the restaurant kept emailing me to give them a review. After the 3rd email, I decided to go ahead & do it. There are so many other choices in Quebec to get great food at good prices & portion sizes. This isn't it.
Never disappointing. The food & service are always outstanding. They use local products & the menu changes according to the seasons & the chef's inspiration.

Was in quebec for a work function & made resos at Le 101. We had no idea what was in store for us. Everything was incredible, from service to presentation to the chef team's passion for what they do. This was not just a meal, it was an experience! Stop reading reviews & book a reservation. You won't be disappointed.
We had an unforgettable dining experience at LE101 restaurant in Quebec City. From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional, warm, attentive, & professional.
We began with scallops & aubergine, both beautifully prepared & bursting with flavor. For our mains, we shared lamb, ribs, & beef, each dish cooked to perfection, tender, & seasoned with a balance that showed the love & craftsmanship of the chef & his talented team.
To finish, we were treated to the most amazing dessert made with fresh, farm-selected products, it was the perfect finale to a truly memorable meal.
We were here on a business trip, & this dinner became the highlight of our stay. I strongly recommend LE101 to anyone visiting Quebec City, you'll taste the passion in every bite!
Une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle ! C'est la deuxième fois que je me rends au 101 pour célébrer un anniversaire &, encore une fois, j'ai été épatée. Le service est irréprochable, le chef est même venu nous remercier personnellement à la fin du repas, & la qualité de la cuisine est remarquable : des saveurs raffinées, des textures parfaitement maîtrisées. Chaque plat est également une véritable oeuvre d'art, visuellement spectaculaire.
Je recommande vivement ce restaurant, où vos papilles autant que vos yeux seront comblés.
