This was a very enjoyable experience. The food consisted of quality products in well-executed preparations. While the dishes were creative, everything was well-grounded in established techniques & flavors. The chef was also very accommodating of our vegan diner who ate as well as anyone else. The wine selection was also of a high standard, appropriate for the meal.

We had a really lovely time at Le 101. The flavours were well balanced with interesting & complimentary textures combined with beautiful plating. The wine pairing is a must. The service was wonderful & we felt very welcome & cared for even though we don't speak French. Juan Carlos from Cuba gets a shout out for excellent service. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for making our evening great.

It was the 7 course Christmas menu with wine pairing for my wife & I. Beautiful presentation, lovely tastes that were only amplified by the accompanying wines which no doubt were expertly selected. The wait staff are fun & friendly which helped to make a note-worthy evening!

Our best meal in Quebec. On point small, refined menu & a great wine choice - even the cat was stalking us to get in on the experience!!

A fantastic 7 course tasting menu with matching wines. Each course perfectly thought through & the wines superbly matched. Don't be put off by the simplicity of the menu....our server talked us through the tasting menu.
Foie gras .....just sublime!

It takes a special kind of arrogance for the chef/owner to charge $18+ for essentially 2 tablespoons of food per serving. The portion sizes were ridiculously small, including the wine pour ($15+ for less than 2 oz.) I understand that there is a tasting menu option ($110 per person for 7 courses + $90 for wine pairing per person), which we did not order. We ordered a la carte, but the portion sizes were the same as the tasting menu - in other words tiny! We actually laughed when they brought our plates. We had to pay $8 extra dollars to get an extra scallop. While the food was good, it certainly did not warrant 5 stars in light of the portion sizes. When we go out to eat, we do so to fill our bellies. This did not even come close. It would be very expensive to bring a large group to this restaurant. I was not even going to review, because I grew up with the adage'If you don't have anything nice to say …', but the restaurant kept emailing me to give them a review. After the 3rd email, I decided to go ahead & do it. There are so many other choices in Quebec to get great food at good prices & portion sizes. This isn't it.

What an amazing experience! First, if you're using Uber to get there, make sure to check the address when you put in le 101. Once we successfully made it there, we had the 7 course tasting menu & wine pairing. It was fun to watch the chefs preparing our food & seeing their attention to detail with each plate. Several of the plates were new combinations or pairings that we have not experienced & they were incredible! The chef came to our table several times to talk about the plate & give us background on the plate or sourcing which was very interesting.
I highly recommend going for the food, incredible atmosphere, & amazing service!

Wow! We've been to other first-rate restaurants in Quebec, including Légende a few times, but this was our favorite. The very kind wait staff accommodated us even though we had made the mistake of reserving for the guinguette in the back of the house, rather than for the main dining room. We enjoyed every part of the seven-course menu at 101, as well as the wine pairings. There was not a weak link in the series of plates. The foie gras with rhubarb was one of the most beautiful presentations I've ever seen, but our favorite dish was the'pre-dessert,' described as something between panna cotta & tzatziki, that was inspired by the chef's knowledge of Tanzanian cuisine. The very kind wait staff accommodated us & explained everything to us in English. This is an out-of-the-way, unpretentious, unsnobby restaurant that is highly worth the trip.

I had basically given up on tasting menus, & Le 101 reminded me why I used to love these experiences. This is what a tasting menu should be. A quiet, cozy space, attentive staff, brilliant wine pairings &, above all, a creative chef who makes delicious food & surprised me several times (example, a'beet tart' that had a false top concealing a surprise, & a porcini-forward dessert). Such a delight. Merci.
