Very pleasant restaurant. Strong bold flavors in tasting menu. Not heavy but a solid tasty meal. Some very interesting/different dishes. Pastry chef also made exceptional dessert
We had an unforgettable dining experience at LE101 restaurant in Quebec City. From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional, warm, attentive, & professional.
We began with scallops & aubergine, both beautifully prepared & bursting with flavor. For our mains, we shared lamb, ribs, & beef, each dish cooked to perfection, tender, & seasoned with a balance that showed the love & craftsmanship of the chef & his talented team.
To finish, we were treated to the most amazing dessert made with fresh, farm-selected products, it was the perfect finale to a truly memorable meal.
We were here on a business trip, & this dinner became the highlight of our stay. I strongly recommend LE101 to anyone visiting Quebec City, you'll taste the passion in every bite!

On a pris le 7 services & nous n'avons pas été déçu.
Quoique les portions semblent petites (mise en bouche, pétoncle, coeur d'artichaud...) jusqu'à l'arrivée du plat de résistance (flétan), on sort repu & satisfait des goûts, saveurs & textures de tout de tout ce qui nous est présenté.
Pour profiter davantage des premiers services, j'aurais aimé que les premiers services soient un peu plus copieux & le plat de flétan un peu moins généreux. À mon avis, le flétan était un tantinet trop cuit. Les deux desserts, de vrais belles surprises pour terminer le repas.
L'accord mets/vins étaient franchement réussis selon mon conjoint. & moi qui ne boit pas d'alcool, j'aurais aimé avoir l'option d'un accord mets/mocktails.
Peut-être un brin plus chaud dans la salle à manger, pour les plus frileux d'entre-nous.
Une très belle soirée, qui en vaut le prix.

Le 101 was great for the whole family…from our 3.5 year old toddler to her grandparents!
All the big folk had the 4-course menu, & each course was creative & impeccably prepared…. We all especially loved the lamb that was perfectly moist & tasty. & the tzatziki-inspired dessert was also such a neat blend of flavours.
Was our favourite meal during our week wandering around Quebec City!
Wonderful restaurant! The fixed menu took us in a delicious meal journey thru the Quebec region.
The dishes were not tiny. The lamb roll was quite larger than I've had expected, & even dessert included 3 items.
Needless to say, we were more than satisfied with the experience.
Wow! We've been to other first-rate restaurants in Quebec, including Légende a few times, but this was our favorite. The very kind wait staff accommodated us even though we had made the mistake of reserving for the guinguette in the back of the house, rather than for the main dining room. We enjoyed every part of the seven-course menu at 101, as well as the wine pairings. There was not a weak link in the series of plates. The foie gras with rhubarb was one of the most beautiful presentations I've ever seen, but our favorite dish was the'pre-dessert,' described as something between panna cotta & tzatziki, that was inspired by the chef's knowledge of Tanzanian cuisine. The very kind wait staff accommodated us & explained everything to us in English. This is an out-of-the-way, unpretentious, unsnobby restaurant that is highly worth the trip.
Hautement déçue par le repas en trois services. L'entrée, composée d'un seul ravioli de courge & ricotta, manquait de saveur. Le plat principal, un cassoulet déconstruit en trois cubes de viande accompagnés d'un jus froid, d'un fond de lentilles tièdes & de trois bouchées de chou rouge. Le dessert, bien que visuellement intéressant, n'a pas offert de nouvelles saveurs, tout comme les deux plats précédents. Excellent vin italien recommandé au verre mais à moitié consommé devant des assiettes vides car portions très petites. Les cocktails en apéritif étaient bons, & la tartelette aux champignons de mon conjoint fut le plat le plus intéressant de notre repas. Enfin, deux groupes très bruyants dans la salle principale ont gâché l'ambiance. Nous ne reviendrons pas.
An amazing dining experience at Le 101. We had the 3 course dinner & every dish exceeded expectations. A brilliant selection of wines were available. The night was topped off when the head chef invited my son behind the kitchen to prepare our desserts. Certainly a memorable night for us in Quebec City!
Hier, jeudi 03/10, nous pouvons dire que le Chef nous a fait voyagé comme rarement ces dernières années. Ne parlons pas du sommelier & de la serveuse qui ont été tout bonnement exceptionnels. Alors oui, c'est vrai, après quelques jours à Québec a essayer de trouver une chose vraiment positive à dire sur la cuisine locale, nous sommes arrivés sceptiques. Mais dès l'extérieur, en voyant cet endroit à la fois simple & pourtant si bien pensé, nous sentions que cette fois-ci ce serait différent... On nous a mis à 9 dans un salon privatif avec un sourire désarmant... & là, c'est parti. Des émotions à n'en plus finir... Dieu sait si nous voyageons, si nous testons à chaque fois des références (souvent étoilées) mais là... quelle claque! Le menu 7 services est tout simplement remarquable d'équilibre, de puissance, d'originalité & d'audace. Au final, deux desserts inoubliable. Mention vraiment spéciale au sommelier qui nous a ému par sa dévotion pour son métier... Pour finir, une ambiance extraordinaire dans ce salon où nous avons même dansé & passer un moment inoubliable avec toute l'équipe. En un mot comme en cent, le 101sera, c'est certain, le premier étoilé de Québec. Merci, merci, merci pour cette soirée qui restera dans nos palais, dans notre nez &, surtout, dans nos coeurs!!!
Une expérience inattendue & incroyable ! Les plats étaient succulents ! Une merveille pour yeux & un régal pour les papilles ! Le service était parfait ! Tout le personnel a été adorable ! Nous avons été servis comme des rois ! Nous étions les derniers clients du restaurant & nous avons eu la belle surprise de déguster 3 délicieux desserts offerts par le chef ! Enfin, l'ambiance était à la hauteur de nos attentes sobre & élégante ! Foncez ! Vous ne le regretterez pas !
