Yanick Parent's team which owns Bello Ristorante, La Bûche, Don Vegan et Peppe is very happy to team up with Stephane Modat, an amazing chef in Quebec city to create Le Clan.
Enter an exotic place where you seat next to mysterious beasts. Enjoy the sheer, raw pleasure that you will appreciate over and over again.
Le Clan offers a memorable culinary journey through the flavors of Quebec, featuring a menu that highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients with impressive creativity and precision. Guests frequently praise the exceptional service, noting the professional and attentive staff who contribute to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. While the tasting menus and wine pairings are often described as a highlight, the lunch service provides an accessible and highly recommended way to experience the restaurant's expertise. Whether enjoying an intimate brunch or a multi-course dinner, diners consistently appreciate the meticulous presentation and the unique, farm-to-table concept that defines the overall experience.
Great service for a restaurant in the jungle of a tourist area with so many restaurants that can get away with mediocre service & food. We had a 8:30pm reservation but the restaurant was kind to fit us in at 6:00pm to accommodate our schedule change even when all available time slots were fully booked. I had tge 6 course tasting & my wife had the 4 course. The consensus was the appetizer & dessert were of good quality but the 2/3 courses for myself were the stars of the tasting menu.
Highly recommended & the caveat is that the pricing is so reasonable as compared to similar service & food quality in other major Canadian & US cities.
We ordered the six course dinner. There were actually eight courses, including a pre-dessert. What a concept. The courses were small & had to be, or we would not have had room to finish. However, both meat courses (the lamb & veal) were generous. A special treat was the north Atlantic Char, a melt in your mouth delight similar to salmon. Service was attentive & explanations of the food added to the enjoyment. Our meal at The Clan lasted more than two hours, & is one of our favorite Quebec memories.

Pleasant experience, the dining room we were in was small & intimate, our waiter Mathieu was courteous & everyone else made our experience top knotch! We did a 6 service tasting - highly recommend! It was light & fresh, we were satisfied & full at the end. We did prefer the "pre-dessert" over the actual dessert. The road trip concept of the dessert was great, but we felt the flavours of the desserts didn't match the caliber of the main dishes. The flavours were lacking & quite subtle, in contrast the pre-dessert was a liquid/solid texture with white chocolate & a burst of fresh tart raspberry purée!
Overall, I feel confident in saying you get a good bang for your buck 👌🏼 awesome crew & great experience. We will definitely come back!
One of the most memorable meals we've ever had. You enter the restaurant on the ground floor, almost feeling like you are walking into the open kitchen. Then you are "swept" upstairs to the unique & beautiful dining room. The service was the best we have ever experienced - friendly & knowledgeable. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each course (starting from the beautiful wagyu beef tartare amuse bouche) was both beautiful & delicious. The first course was asparagus. The second & third were fish dishes (the third course in particular was a work of art). Next was a unique poultry dish (I think pheasant, but I can't remember) followed by a tender medallion of veal. The dessert course was a journey unto itself. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
One of the best restaurants we've ever visited. Each course built on the previous one, & the dessert "mushroom" was life-changing. We didn't do the wine pairing, but we did get a bottle of Canadian wine that was truly excellent. Couldn't possibly recommend this restaurant highly enough. The only reason I gave it 5 stars is because 6 stars wasn't an option!
What a great experience. This was perfect. 6 course set dinner. From the first course to the dessert it all worked together as a great composition. Flavors flowed from one course to the next. The presentation of each dish was beautiful & completed the great flavor of the journey through this Dinner. It was such a great culinary experience.
The staff was knowledgeable, professional, friendly & not overbaring but attentive in the just right amount.
Great atmosphere wide open kitchen at ground level & upstairs a bar & a quaint but inviting dining area.
When in Quebec City a must visit!
Excellent in every detail - service, food & presentation. We took two grandchildren (8 & 9). The children were behaved; loved the Shirley Temple with loads of cherries; the halibut, dessert, bread with butter & the beef appetizer. Initially, we were concerned about the ambiance- but the grandkids adapted very well. Definitely a repeat ! The dessert was spectacular!!
Through the first four of six courses, a near perfect meal; the veal (5th) was too large & not as flavorful as the outstanding food that preceded it; the dessert was too large & too sweet for a restaurant of this quality.
As I awoke this morning, I had to wonder if the meal we had last night was but a fantastical dream. Thank goodness, it was not! What an absolute treat & one of the greatest food phenomenas we have experienced. Delicate, rich, full flavors with simplicity & artistry are clearly in the forefront of this magical chefs creative mind. Everything moment, from our feet stepping thru the front door to the last out as we admired the immaculate kitchen, was memorable. Our unbelievable wait staff & personal sommelier, Laura-Emily, was knowledgeable beyond compare. But every person was a dream & delight. We brought our 15 yr old son & held our breath hoping he would not have a tough time with the unknown but he dove in head first & felt equally elated after everything. Oh, the wine pairing is a must. The dessert was so beautiful we almost didn't want to eat it. It will be difficult to top LE CLAN so we will eagerly await our return. A chef who loves his country & shares this love through an absolutely culinary masterpiece. Thank you! Thank you!
