Yanick Parent's team which owns Bello Ristorante, La Bûche, Don Vegan et Peppe is very happy to team up with Stephane Modat, an amazing chef in Quebec city to create Le Clan.
Enter an exotic place where you seat next to mysterious beasts. Enjoy the sheer, raw pleasure that you will appreciate over and over again.
Le Clan offers a memorable culinary journey through the flavors of Quebec, featuring a menu that highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients with impressive creativity and precision. Guests frequently praise the exceptional service, noting the professional and attentive staff who contribute to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. While the tasting menus and wine pairings are often described as a highlight, the lunch service provides an accessible and highly recommended way to experience the restaurant's expertise. Whether enjoying an intimate brunch or a multi-course dinner, diners consistently appreciate the meticulous presentation and the unique, farm-to-table concept that defines the overall experience.
Everything from service to presentation & each bite delectable! Only complaint was a suggested glass of red wine with our red meat offerings turned into $30 a glassx2. I've never paid $30 for A glass of wine, European, US, or Canadian. It was a shock. Other than that, exceptional.
Overall - I do recommend Le Clan as a must visit. The kind of place that's worth prioritizing or making a detour for if you're in the area. The atmosphere, the food, the presentation, & the wine list were all exceptional. Unfortunately the service was lacking. We looked forward to eating here for a very special evening, & the service unfortunately left us very turned off by the end. We were running late for our reservation & tried to call twice but no one answered. It didn't end up being an issue however as our table still wasn't ready. While waiting however, not once did anyone offer to take my partner's coat or offer her water or a cocktail. We were finally seated at the bar almost 30 minutes after our reservation, & then finally seated at our actual table a little more than 40 minutes after the reservation. We did the discovery menu (which is absolutely worth it) & chose a lovely bottle of white (the wine list & sommelier are excellent). I did find it somewhat odd given the small size of the restaurant that most of the dishes were presented by either busboys or other servers. It seems we saw "our" server maybe 3 times in the entire meal. In the end we asked for the final course to go as there had been an unusually long gap between courses & then it was brought up plated a few moments later (clearly communication was not effective). All in all, still worth the visit, if not for the food & discovery alone. But the front of house team clearly needs better training & coordination in order to have the service experience match the level of the kitchen.
Modern fine dining done very well. My wife & I visited during the Halloween weekend from New Brunswick & were lucky enough to have this be our 2nd fine dining experience in the city (although compared to many cities in Canada, many restaurants are fine dining in Quebec) & it did not disappoint. My cousin lives in the city & this was their first time here as well. As I mentioned in my review for le Champlain, this also had the 3 things I look for; great food, great service, great experience. Tucked away on a side street in the historic Old Quebec area, you enter & are greeted immediately by the kitchen & its unique decor, offering that sense that your in a fancy spot, but slightly more buttoned down/modern. My wife & I had the full course, high end wine pairing & my cousin & her partner had the same but with the more average wine pairings. It was a great way to engage the staff & see both sides. Both were incredible. I know folks in Quebec & France are used to many wines & trying new ones, but we lack that in most cities I've lived. The servers were knowledgeable, friendly & courteous & the choices for both food & wines were impeccable. Every wine brought an entirely unique experience from any I've had previously & the food left us very satisfied.

Great service & fantastic food. My wife & I had the 6 course set menu & wine pairings. Everything was 10/10 from start to finish! Really enjoyed the evening. Will definitely come back again when visiting Quebec City.
Definitely one of the best meals of my life. I had the 6 course menu with wine pairing. It was a tremendous value, as a comparable meal in the US would be 2-3 times as expensive. I loved how they incorporated whimsical touches with outstanding technique to produce wonderful tasting & beautiful courses
We chose the six course tasting menu accompanied with the wine pairing. The service was impeccable with well-timed presentation of courses. Each (food & wine pair) was thoroughly explained by our server . The ambiance was rustic yet intimate with mood-setting music. We appreciated the Chef's farm to table sourcing of ingredients. An overall five star experience.
My wife & I flew in from Kelowna last night. On the redeye. We could not check in to our hotel until 3pm . We had not slept. We decided to do some city tours in Quebec City & then have some drinks around town. We had waited too long to find a restaurant reservation for dinner . We walked around town. Everyone was full. We walked by this restaurant twice looking in the window, the kitchen crew was behind the window. I was instantly impressed. My wife decided that was the best place for her. They were pretty full. My wife had quite a bit to drink. She is Korean, her grasp of the English language isn't so great, let alone French. They sat us, we ordered wine, my wife instantly spills her wine & shatters the glass all over the floor. At this point we were both embarrassed, everyone was staring at us. Our server Michael came to the table, cleaned the mess, calmly made my wife feel better, Michael walked us through the menu, knowing we did not understand French. He was amazing. What an experience. The food was outstanding, the service was unmatched. After a few minutes , nobody remembers my wife dropping her wine. Thanks against n Michael!!!!
We were here as a part of a food tour & oh how I wish we were staying one more evening! Go here & enjoy it. It is a unique space, wonderful food & wine.
The service & food are as perfect as you can find it. We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. It was cooked to perfection & the wine pairing was excellent. The service was attentive but not intrusive. They sourced the food locally & the quality of the ingredients was very good. We wanted to taste local Quebec cuisine & this is the place.
