Food was presented well but the taste was just fine. Nothing that blew our minds.
It was overpriced frankly. We got duck confit in Dashi sauce, pasta in tomato sauce, butterfish, gnochi, fish @ mkt price. However drinks were good.
Had a lovely experience dining here with a friend! Mocktails are often an afterthought but not at Le Clocher Penché. The strawberry lemonade was divine. I had the rabiole which was fresh, crunchy & flavourful & the poisson d'arrivage which was a flaky cod with a delicious sauce. Highly recommend!
Super expérience, ambiance très sympa, pas trop bruyant, service aux petits soins & une cuisine excellente ! Les cocktails sont très bons, Je recommande la joue de boeuf, la sauce sublime ✨ Pas de fausses notes, Un des meilleurs restos de Québec !

The food was AMAZEBALLS. We enjoyed all the dishes & drinks we ordered, especially the delectable cod & the fowl. The cod was cooked to perfection & the sauce was plenty & so flavorful, complimenting the vegetables well. & the fowl was crispy on the skin but still so juicy inside with a rich sauce. All the food was not only presented beautifully, but also used fresh local ingredients. Their cocktails were also refreshing, with fun creative recipes. Additionally, the server was warm & welcoming, & the interior/ambiance was cute. (Sort of rustic chic?) The selection on the dessert menu was small, however, so we didn't get any there.
In search for the best French restaurant in Quebec, we ended with up @leclocherpenche. Exceptional was an understatement. Menu was simple, prices were reasonable & dishes were executed carefully. Service was topnotch by Livia. I would definitely recommend & come back for the scallops, the fish of the day in Romesco sauce & their homemade butter. Parking was limited due to an ongoing construction. ❤️🇨🇦👌
Beautiful little gem where locals seem to go to often... the place was full on a Tuesday evening. Excellent & refined menu for all that love fresh fish & delicate sauces. Friendly service, great ambiance.
Choosing between an uncomfortably warm room & a room with no ambiance was not a good start. The appetizers made up for it more than the mains. Scallops with morels, easily top dish. The sauce is the reason to order the terrific bread. Shell pasta with oyster mushrooms was closer to a decent if not typical red sauce with the mushrooms not adding much. Delicious French fare in a relaxed & upscale vibe. There is no wrong choice. We started with the bread & mushroom butter & the scallops were perfect. Next, I had the pasta which was perfect -- & I don't even like red sauces! My husband had a fantastic Icelandic cod & we ended on the amazing creme brulé & macaron. Truly you can't go wrong here.
