Although it is not an inexpensive experience, we felt that it was worth every penny! The table side preparation was next level, but the overall meal quality, from start to finish & the interaction with our server, Roberto, made it a truly special night.
We would highly recommend the Cesar salad for 2 (probably the best we've ever had), the whisky shrimp & the house special filet mignon!

We had a supreme dining experience. It was as expected & more. The Caesar salad preparation by the table was something we haven't seen in many years. Preparation of the filet tableside was was both entertaining & interesting. The Brazilian coffee was amazing! The entire dining experience will always be a wonderful memory for us on the occasion of our wedding annniversary!
It was our pleasure to dine at Le Continental on Thursday, 8 Sep at the strong recommendation by a good friend & lifetime resident from Quebec City. Visiting for our first time from Edmonton, Alberta, we were impressed by the welcoming greeting, accommodating seating, & attentive service. Denis, our server, prepared the Ceasar salad, Steak en boite, & Crepes Suzettes with great care & entertaining flame right at table side. Accompanied by an excellent French red wine from their extensive options, the entire meal was absolutely wonderful. We know our beef, & this was second to none, including to ensure it being cooked just right per request. As part of a 40 year marriage trip & celebration, it was the perfect place.
Merci, Denis & tout le monde at Le Continental. We look forward to future opportunity when in Quebec again. Hopefully soon!

Consistant, old school service that never fails to disappoint. Food was on point. Table side ceaser salad is a must..... period. Lamb was slightly overcooked bit still delicious. Wine recco was perfect. Cognac glass was perfectly warmed.... I'll be back, again.... & again.....
My fiancé & I had an enchanted evening here celebrating my birthday. The tableside service was unique & impeccable, & the ambiance oozes old-world classic elegance. We had the Caesar salad, crab appetizer & the chateaubriand for two & everything was delicious.
We were absolutely stuffed by the end — too stuffed for dessert! Our waiter still brought us some raspberry sorbet with a birthday candle, which was such a sweet touch that I truly appreciated. All in all I felt very pampered & special & I will really treasure that memory. It's very expensive, but worth it for a special treat. One of these days we'll be back to try the sole meunière. :)
Our waiter Brian was friendly, attentive & very professional. From our arrival & greeting by the maître d'hotel to our departure we were made to feel that they were there to make our evening memorable, & they did.
The escargots, lobster bisque were superb & watching the artistry of Brian making the Caesar salad was entertaining. He went on the explain the subtleties in taste of each ingredient from anchovy paste to red wine vinegar & everything in between & how each would affect the taste & when done each bite of the fresh crisp romaine with just enough dressing on each bite was a tasting adventure. Each morsel of our two main courses of grilled giant scallops & of whiskey flambé shrimp in a rich cream sauce which was prepared at the table side literally teased our taste buds & brought delight. The accompaniments of a pyramid of rice & asparagus tips & carrot Vichy complemented very well our main. The recommended white Sancerre wine blended well with both main courses. We ended our culinary adventure with a chocolate mousse & a generous slice of maple sugar pie both of which were rich in flavour. The Brazilian coffee with the caramelized sugar from a generous serving of flambé cognac, Tia Maria & an amazing generous flamed pouring of Grand Marnier was something to see prepared artistically at the table. Would we go again? In a heart beat. It was two & a half hours of culinary perfection & taste. Pierre & Karen, Ottawa.
