The great story of a small bistro... Like a treasure buried in the heart of Faubourg St-Jean, a really well-kept secret ... the story of The Hobbit. This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Le cadre est agréable. Nous avons commandé un Vouvray qui s'est avéré légèrement bouchonné. Ils ont eu du mal à le reconnaître en prétendant que c'était le goût qui ne nous convenait pas. Alors que nous le connaissons bien En remplacement ils nous ont proposé un crémant d'Alsace très différent & plus cher.
Le repas était très bon : entrées, plats, desserts. Un bémol sur l'accompagnement à base de purée de champignons (?).
Un service trop long, plus de deux heures trente !
Au final trop cher par rapport à la qualité.

The best meal we had while visiting Quebec. The fresh soup was amazing. I had the Vegetarian Wellington & my husband had the Guinea Fowl. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Dessert were outstanding. We had a reservation, highly recommends having. The restaurant is very quaint. .

This place is really good. We had the best dinner we've had in Quebec City & that is saying a lot. The service was friendly & very professional, the food is imaginative & well-prepared, the desserts were fantastic & the cocktails had a nice twist. In a place like Quebec City which is rich in fine restaurants, we wouldn't normally go twice to the same place, but next time we visit, the Hobbit Bistro will certainly be on our list.

Endroit chaleureux, personnel très compétent. Bouffe très bonne, bien conseillé pour le vin.

Amazing food, amazing experience. Every part of the meal, starting with soup, appetizers, followed by the entrees & finally dessert, were superb. I was blown away by the service & quality of food, & if I ever end up in Quebec again I will have to stop here for dinner once more.

Wonderful experience. Our server - Sebastian - was knowledgeable, friendly & humorous. The food was excellent, special call out to the dessert. We had the tiramisu. Highly recommended.
