About

The great story of a small bistro... Like a treasure buried in the heart of Faubourg St-Jean, a really well-kept secret ... the story of The Hobbit. This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Over time, it became the place where culinary delights come together in an ambiance worthy of a warm and cozy home. But beware, behind that familiar face, between the stones of this old house lurk ghosts that give The Hobbit that "je ne sais quoi" and make it a place apart from all others.

Excellent food, wine & service. Creative menu, changes regularly. Reservations recommended to avoid a wait (it's a small space).

Wonderful experience. Our server - Sebastian - was knowledgeable, friendly & humorous. The food was excellent, special call out to the dessert. We had the tiramisu. Highly recommended.

Horrible expérience!
Nous allons régulièrement dans les bons restaurants. Le restaurant Hobbit nous avait été recommandé... Nous sommes donc allés jeudi le 21 mars. Nous sommes arrivés à 19 heures. Nous avons reçu notre plat principal à
21 h 30...

Could not have asked for a better dinner. I ordered the black pudding with pork belly, she had the fish. Both were great. Atmosphere was warm but not too crazy.
10/10 would recommend. We'll definitely be back.

Incroyable! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, except that I don't want too many people to know about it so I can go again. The staff is lovely & the food delicious. Best little place in town for modern terroir cuisine.
