This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Delightful dinner, first night in Quebec City. Relaxed neighborhood feel. Sebastien, our server, was exceptional. Terrific gravlax, oysters, french onion soup, bouillabaisse was not traditional yet delicious. The creme brulee was outstanding. Enjoyed food & atmosphere so much we returned for breakfast, also delicious & friendly attentive service.

Encore une fois ravi par ma soirée d'hier. La nourriture est excellente, le personnel est sympathique, présent & professionnel, & l'ambiance est tout aussi chaleureuse que vivante. La carte des vins pourrait cependant être bonifiée par une ou deux bouteilles plus abordables.

Great food, great cocktails & attentive yet relaxed service. We had a great evening! We even learned the secret ingredient in the pepper sauce for the beef! ;) A toute à l'heure!

Belle ambiance , serveuse drôle & efficace. Nourriture excellente. La porte de la terrasse faisait in bruit incroyable , à remédier. Les cafés spécialisé fort apprécié ! Nous avons bien aimé.
