This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. The Hobbit was wonderfu. Our family agreed that the Arctic char & rabbit confit were perfect & the sauces complemented the courses. David was entertaining & attentive to detail - master at bringing glasses of ice on a particularly warm evening. We'll return next time we visit Québec!

Not bad, but not spectacular. We had higher expectations for Le Hobbit. Staff says everything is local sourced & they push that. That's good. Charcuterie & cheese plate was very good. The lamb & the rabbit were fine, but we can't say "very good," & the portions were too small given the amount of bones. Our chosen wine was out, which was unfortunate, without a comparably priced replacement available. They may have been a bit understaffed on Monday. Overall, we have to give it 2 stars, which is what average is.
