About

The great story of a small bistro... Like a treasure buried in the heart of Faubourg St-Jean, a really well-kept secret ... the story of The Hobbit. This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Over time, it became the place where culinary delights come together in an ambiance worthy of a warm and cozy home. But beware, behind that familiar face, between the stones of this old house lurk ghosts that give The Hobbit that "je ne sais quoi" and make it a place apart from all others.

Incroyable! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, except that I don't want too many people to know about it so I can go again. The staff is lovely & the food delicious. Best little place in town for modern terroir cuisine.

The food was delicious. Only regret was I ate too much & I had to skip the wonderful desserts. A terrific find that I'll definitely go back to.

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary. We had reserved with a request to have a quiet table. They gave us a nice table by the window. So things were off to a great start. The place was busy. But the waiter maede us feel like we were only ones there. We ordered wine by the glass. He had us try it before pouring it. We split an appetizer & each had halibut for main. Both were fantastic & beautifully presented. During each course the waiter came by to check on how we were enjoying our food. The service & food were excellent.!,,
