The great story of a small bistro... Like a treasure buried in the heart of Faubourg St-Jean, a really well-kept secret ... the story of The Hobbit. This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Over time, it became the place where culinary delights come together in an ambiance worthy of a warm and cozy home. Loved this quaint little spot for breakfast! Kind, accomodating service. The food was tasty & affordable which is always a great combo. Loved the cozy, classy aesthetic as well. Will likely be my breakfast spot on the daily when I visit again!

Une belle découverte durant notre séjour au Québec. Le cadre est joli & soigné. Nous avons été servis plutôt rapidement. L'assiette de houmous aux oignons est excellente avec une bonne texture, servi avec des chips de sarrasin particulierement bonne car pas grasse & d'une épaisseur parfaite. Une association des aliments réussite autant sur le goût que la texture. L'assiette de ratatouille est également bonne, un peu plus simpliste. Nous avons pris'l'à côté' pomme de terre pour accompagner le tout, ainsi que la foccacia bien huilée, moelleuse à l'intérieur & croustillante sur la croûte, accompagné d'un beurre particulièrement bien travaillé.
Un vrai délice !

Après un premier voyage à Québec il y a deux ans & une première expérience positive au Hobbit... deuxième voyage cette année avec deuxième expérience ce mois d' octobre....serveuse au top, & repas excellent...pour le prochain voyage,on y retourne avc le plus grand plaisir 😉😉

The deviled eggs side & the blood pudding main were delicious. The breakfast old fashioned will wake you up haha
Our server was great but the host was a little abrupt. Cute spot. Wish they dug into the hobbit theme more.

A very nice place. Good servers, very nice & attentive. Came here for breakfast, got the classic & it was delicious. The best breakfast I ever tried not gonna lie. Our server was a lady & she was lovely. Merci!

What a delight.We started with the carrot donuts - good, but couldn't taste carrot. Then we also had the fried oysters which were delicious. I had the grandmother's blood pudding. Was a bit nervous but it was amazing. My daughter had the seafood pasta which was also good but we both agreed mine was exceptional. Both meals could have used bread to soak up the sauce - so order some next time.

La roquette en tempura, le dashi japonais & le daikon râpé se marient parfaitement ; leurs saveurs & leurs textures sont riches & variées, rappelant la cuisine kaiseki de ma région natale. Beaucoup de chefs japonais salent discrètement la peau de saumon puis la font frire en tempura - tu devrais essayer !
