This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Pour le premier dîner de notre première visite à Québec ça été un vrai coup de chance. Vue de la rue l'ambiance m'a attiré. La lecture de la carte achève mon envie de rentrer à l'intérieur. Le serveur trop sympa nous installe en terrasse. On s'est régalé. Des plats magnifiques avec des asperges ou du clams en sauce succulentes. Les desserts c'est l'apothéose on en revient pas. Va falloir qu'on y retourne avant de continuer le périple.

Went to have brunch at this restaurant with some friends. I first ate there in 2018 or 2019 - that time i had eggs benedicts on a parisbrest bread, & it was honestly one of the best eggs benedicts i've had - so i was really excited to go back. Sadly, my experience this time was not great. While the service & atmosphere were excellent, I was very disappointed with the food, as the portions were much smaller than they used to be, & the food was extremely blend (barely any taste in most dishes except maybe the bene-ghetti which had some flavour). Won't be recommending that place anymore... unless they step-up (& they need to step up quite a lot).
