This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Le Hobbit was one of the best meals-from start to finish-we've ever eaten. We started with two appetizers... pickled mushrooms & a dish of roasted carrots with pressed bread & lobster sauce. The presentation of the carrot dish was gorgeous but the taste blew us away. One of us ordered the fish of the day & the other a Cornish chicken. Both plates were scraped clean. Although we were pretty full, we ordered dessert simply to see how they would end such a great experience. They did not disappoint (the carrot cake was amazing!) Our waitress was friendly, warm & really fun. I highly recommend it & would make a trip to Quebec City again just for those carrots!

We had a great meal at le hobbit! They are very creative with their dishes & they are very yummy. Excellent service! The deviled eggs in beet sauce were very surprising & so delicious!

Les plats dégustés étaient excellents. La carte des entrées gagnerait à être un peu plus élaborée. La section avant du resto un peu froide. Surtout lorsque la porte ouvre, une brise glaciale entre & refroidit encore plus l'espace. Mais la bouffe est vraiment top !
