This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. This was wonderful. We had a table by an open window on a beautiful day. Lovely servers. I had sea urchin omelet which was shockingly great. So were the deviled eggs. Great experience.

The waitress was not loving the fact that I have a service dog, but he was much quieter & well behaved than the children in the establishment. Barely anyplace in Quebec City is accessible.

Tout était délicieux, mais que dire du pain & foie gras !!! J'y pense encore. Le serveur était fort sympathique, le service un brin long, mais nous étions sur la terrasse avec une magnifique température.

Attractive restaurant but service somewhat unhelpful & slow. In the first hour we were there we only received the first course. Food was odd. Terrine delicious but accompanied by weirdly floral tasting jam. Salad starter attractive but beets somewhat raw & green sauce off putting. Most of the mains strange: blood sausage, raw scallops, or sweetbreads. Of the ones we ordered, the Silesian dumplings were dry & flavorless. We divided on the other mains, I found the pork dry & difficult to eat & my companions weren't crazy about the halibut. We skipped dessert!

Super resto de quartier tenu par un couple formidable! La gauffre poulet frit est tout simplement parfaite. Le service est excellent dans un décor choisi avec soin.

Nous sommes allés souper, ma conjointe & moi samedi dernier à ce magnifique restaurant du Vieux Québec. La nourriture était tout simplement incroyable & le service hors-pair. Nous recommandons chaudement ce restaurant, nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Merci à toute l'équipe pour notre belle soirée!!❤?
