This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. It was a great experience! We ordered three courses for dinner & the ingredients in each dish, especially the vegetables, really stand out. Duck breast, roasted fennel with fresh cheese, & the banana cake were our favourites! Some suggestions for consideration - the meat in our main dishes were overall a bit greasy; some of the dishes/ingredients were too salty; & the carrot flavour was overwhelmed by other ingredients in the carrot cake. It was overall a great experience!
